The location was great, the room was clean. The staff and the owner were all very nice and made the best crepes and omellette I've ever tasted! I would recommend this place to anyone!

this was an excellent choice. I only wish we had stayed longer. From the moment we entered this guest house we were made to feel most welcome. I would highly recommend staying at this guest house.

The Halvat was easy to find, with a little added help from Yahoo maps. It's location is in the heart of oldtown Sarajevo with easy access to shops, restaurants, and tour facilities. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Best of all was the functioning AC during one of Sarajevo's hottest days. Don't skip the breakfast! It is well worth the price added to your bill. The staff were friendly and helpful, even a hug as we left, as if we were old friends, which I now consider them to be. See you the next time we are in Sarajevo!

good location, about 5 min. to the old city. I travel alone and was a bit nervous to walk around at night but there was no worry. The room was clean and Ema was nice person.

We had the room on the top floor (2nd) in the roof space, like a mini suite. Good size room, quiet location but very close to the "pigeon square" with the fountain - about 5 minutes walk.

The location of Halvat is perfect. Just 5 minutes walk away from Bascarsija, where you can find most of the Ottoman era buildings and shopping places. It is also one of the main stations of the modest tram network of Sarajevo. The staff was very helpful, breakfasts were nice and room was clean. Good that it was equipped with air-conditioner, as you can really need it at times.

From the moment we arrived we were treated with nothing but gracious hospitality. Our room was spotless and welcoming, with all the amenities: High speed wireless internnet, Cable tv, desk with comfortable chairs, comfortable beds, and good heating. The breakfast is not included with the room, but is offered at a vey resonalbe price. It included daily: fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, fresh rolls, and your choice of eggs (any style) and delicious crepe like pancakes. The staff was warm and welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. We have friends in Sarajevo, who came to the hotel multiple times to meet us there. Each time, the staff went out of their way to welcome them, offer them coffee and even print something for them. The guesthouse is perfectly located, a short walk to the taxi stand, the tram station, and old town with all its wonderful shops and restaurants. There is even a pharmacy around the corner and a great bakery shop only 2 blocks away. We were there during the time of the 20th anniversary of the Siege of Sarajevo. This was a very poignant and emotional time and we really appreciated the openess with which our hosts shared their personal stories about this difficult and courageous time.
