Conrad Algarve

What else can be said about this awesome hotel and customer relations team who look after their customers. We’ve been fortunate to stay throughout its 13-14 year history, watching it being built during our stays at the Dona Filipa in Vale do Lobo many years ago. The recent investment in the reception, bars and Oilveria resturant have moved them up a notch towards perfection. The customer service team throughout the whole hotel are some of the best I’ve ever come across in the hospitality game; quiet, friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, professional…I could go on. This is one hotel stay you will never forget.

Amazing!!! Everything about this hotel is just so beautiful. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Food is fabulous. The breakfast / restaurant area is just stunning. Bedrooms are beautiful and to add to that the Byredo products just make this whole place the most luxurious hotel!!! Can’t wait to return.

We requested a quiet room on a high floor but were allocated a room on ground floor and a long way in fact the furthest room from the main lobby which was disappointing especially as we are both in our late sixties.

New owners have done a great job in recent upgrade but being put in bedroom on 1st floor behind the bar not a great experience ( tradesman entrance felt like ) Breakfast excellent but 45 euros when all I’m eating is coffee, toast and a fruit bowl is outrageous

Another fantastic stay at the Conrad Algarve. Our family loves this hotel and we return year after year because the standards are consistently exceptional. The staff throughout the hotel are outstanding and we genuinely cannot fault a single aspect of the service. A special thank you to Beatriz, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail were truly appreciated. My partner is vegan, and the hotel catered brilliantly for this, with thoughtful options and excellent service at every meal. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself is immaculate, with beautifully maintained facilities, spotless rooms, and a luxurious atmosphere throughout. Every member of staff contributes to making guests feel welcomed and valued. Thank you to everyone at Conrad Algarve for another wonderful holiday. The hotel has recently been refurbished - it is beautiful. The pool areas are gorgeous, as are the restaurants and the Nest bar. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious. Breakfast at the Olivera restaurant is a real treat and sitting at the pool bar watching the sunset over the main pool is very special.

There are many things the Conrad has got right in its reopening but some things still need improvement. The number one issue for guest experience at the moment is the scarcity of sunbeds. For some reason the management have decided that they are in a position to charge €350 for cabanas that come with sunbeds at the bottom pool and elsewhere. This creates a situation where guests are struggling to find a sunbed and half the beds are empty because guests will not pay for sunbeds at a 5* resort. This is a hotel in the Algarve not a beach club in Ibiza. Other things that could be better - there are plenty of staff around the main pool but no one ever asks if you’d like a drink which seems like a missed opportunity in terms of revenue for the hotel. There are also odd examples of trying to “nickel and dime” guests such as giving one carton of free water by the pool but charging for more than than and charging €9 for a matcha latte at breakfast. Small things but they add up.

After spending 10 wonderful days at the Conrad Algarve, I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations in almost every way. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with a lovely, friendly bellboy helping us with our luggage. We were also offered drinks on arrival, which was a really nice touch after travelling. Our room was spacious, modern and, most importantly, spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep every night. The balcony was also a great size and perfect for relaxing. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay, and the evening turndown service was another lovely touch. The food across the hotel was fantastic. Breakfast offered both an extensive buffet and made-to-order dishes, with plenty of choice and staff happy to accommodate any requests. We also enjoyed several lunches by the pool and in the restaurant, and every meal was excellent. The quality of the food was superb, and the staff were always friendly and attentive. As amazing as the hotel itself is, the standout feature for us was the Sereno pool area and, without a doubt, the incredible pool boys. They genuinely made our holiday special and are a huge credit to the Conrad. Nothing was ever too much trouble they were constantly checking if we needed anything, helping move loungers and always making us feel looked after. A special mention has to go to: Lucky – Such a genuinely lovely guy. He always made time to come over for a chat, checked that we were happy and had the biggest smile on his face every day. His positive energy really added to our holiday. Caleb – A fantastic young man who was professional, friendly and took a genuine interest in getting to know guests. He looked after us brilliantly and was always a pleasure to talk to. Saymon – Another incredibly friendly and helpful member of the team. Always welcoming, always happy to help and nothing was ever too much trouble. We really appreciated everything he did for us. Ashaduzzaman Babu – What can I say? An absolute legend. We ended up becoming friends over the course of our stay, and he genuinely made a huge difference to our holiday. He works incredibly hard, is kind, funny and always goes above and beyond for guests. We looked forward to seeing him every day by the pool because we knew we’d be looked after so well. Baboo is a real asset to the Conrad and deserves every bit of recognition. It’s difficult to find faults with the hotel. The only very minor points would be that the temperature-controlled pool could perhaps have been a little warmer, and there could be a few more sunbeds around the Serena pool but luckily we’re early risers, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, this was an outstanding stay from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s the people who truly make it special. We’ll definitely be returning and sincerely hope to see Lucky, Caleb, Saymon and Babu again on our next visit. Thank you all for making our holiday so memorable.
