"Needs to develop a personality"

I had a fantastic long weekend here. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. The service was mostly excellent, with just one issue that needs addressing: the person who cleaned my room should be advised to wear deodorant, as there was quite a whiff of body odour in the room after they had finished. However, the cleanliness of the rooms is exceptional, and the rooms themselves are gorgeous. Whilst this is an excellent 5-star experience, it still has some work to do. The hotel has no vibe, soul, or atmosphere, which is very noticeable. I was told the hotel had 96% occupancy over the weekend I was there, so I would have expected more of a buzz around the place. I would also question the price-to-value ratio. It is very expensive and, at this price point, I would expect an X factor that is currently lacking. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return, but the hotel needs to develop more personality and a stronger sense of occasion to fully justify its premium pricing.

"Paradise"

Gorgeous hotel and the staff were lovely - they literally couldnt do enough for you - amazing food and cocktails in a beautiful setting - such a nice atmosphere a perfect week from start to finish

Facilities are excellent, large room size & balcony, easy location and improved renovated breakfast bistro/service.

Free valet parking, but desk abandoned most time. Underground carpark has out of service lift. Lack signage. Housekeeping. 5 of 6 days our room wasnt serviced until the evening, altho room free. V disappointing (key extra versus self catering). When serviced it was however excellent. Renovations layout, requiring you walk through a bar to get to get to rooms. Very disjointed.
