Strathallan Guest House

It was a lovely place to say. The room was very clean with the exception of the shower which could have been slightly cleaner, as it did not look spotless. The owner was very friendly and the breakfast service was lovely.

Very nice room, nice bathroom, excellent breakfast

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Strathallan Guest House. It is close to the royal mile and surrounded by lovely restaurants of all different styles (e.g. Indian, Chinese, Italian, Turkish and Argentinian all I’m walking distance!). There is a bus stop right outside the house which is very handy and the hosts are knowledgeable about which bus to get and their frequency. The breakfast was superb with optional haggis and black pudding which we really enjoyed. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. Our only tiny issue was that the bed was a little narrow - but that’s just us being picky! We would highly recommend staying here and would like to thank Duncan for a great stay! We will definitely be back soon.

Host was extremely friendly and helpful. We had to check in late and he was very accommodating. Room was safe and clean, and the house was situated within a 20 minute walk from Princes Street.

Very easy to find from driving from the airport. Beautiful property including gorgeous stained glass window at the top of a wide staircase. Comfy bed. Great tips for exploring the area by the host. Bedroom comfy with tv. Shower good. Easy walk to the centre of Edinburgh. All in all great experience.

The location is perfect for walking to major attractions, or, accessing public transport. The room was spacious, the bathroom spotless and the breakfast was very good ( try the Stornaway black pudding ). The host has a good sense of humour . Also top pubs are easy walking distance .

Lovely little B&B with pleasant hosts and a wonderful breakfast, including veggie option as standard. We’d alerted them to a very late check in (10pm) which was no problem and that went smoothly. We will definitely like to book here again. Thank you Eammon.
