The Welford

The Welford’s location was perfect for us, just a ten minute walk from the town centre and rail station + bus station. Judy and Richard were the perfect friendly hosts offering advice on where to visit together with the best routes. Our breakfasts were superb with lots of choice even for us on our keto diet there was plenty to choose from including Greek yogurt, fresh berries and a great cooked breakfast with homemade sausages! Our twin bedroom was comfortable and had all we needed. The beds were very comfortable.

Our room was a little small but we didn’t spend much time in there so wasn’t a big problem for us.

The hosts were lovely and attentive. The decor was very tasteful. The breakfast, especially the fruit and granola option was appreciated.

Eigentlich alles gut

Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both cooked and uncooked food. Fresh fruit and different yogurts available as well as cereals. Good selection of hot drinks. Plenty of room on the table for smart cutlery and tableware in comfortable relaxing room. Hosts very helpful and welcoming without being overbearing. Room was well furnished with the most comfortable bed, crisp white bedding and great pillows. We slept well. Shower room en suite with soft white towels and good fan. TV worked well. Really convenient for the centre of Harrogate but still in a quiet position. Parking on the road outside with a permit provided by hosts was no problem.

The only thing I could fault it on was that our room was a little small but there was a lounge available to sit in if we had time.

Within walking distance of town, Bus and train stations. Good choice of restaurants, pubs. A suggestion that breakfast time’s might be put on the door to breakfast room.
