Tremendous beach and bay! Great service and great food!! Rooms were clean and well maintained. Ocean views from every room!

This all-adult resort was great. The food is delicious and there is a variety of drinks. You will relax and indulge in tasty meals.

As expected the service and the personal attention we receive at The Secrects Haultuco is exceptional! Last night(Wednesday Apr-8) the team at Oceana really went above and beyond! As a vegetarian, they offered us a special meal and it was phenomenal! Starters, soup, salad and the main course. Monserrat the hostess, and Mitsury suggested this service for us and Chefs Emilio & Naydelin executed the meal to perfection! The attention from Mitsury was spot on and we did not have to ask for a thing! AMAZING! Thank you to Kenia for coordinating, and the team for perfect execution! We loved it!!

Our time at Secrets Huatulco was fabulous! Our rooms were clean and spacious! The pools are large and we never had trouble finding a spot by the pool. The placards were all delicious. Our waitress Amayrani was one of the best. I want to commend the chef as well Chef Livy for the great meal and presentation at the Bordeaux restaurant. Our front desk service was excellent as well, helping us resolve any issue we had. Room service and turn down service was greatly appreciated. Great resort. We will definitely come back again.

Everyone has been absolutely fantastic, including Luciano when we first arrived and Salvador as our beachfront bartender. It doesn’t matter what is going on at home, when you come here you’re able to relax for a little bit which is a gift!! Bring a to go cup and just sit and enjoy🥰

The resort is on a nice bay, but that's about as good as it gets. If you are expecting a 5-star resort stay based on other Secrets resorts, you will be extremely disappointed. This resort is out-dated, poorly managed with several areas just falling apart with missing tiles causing safety hazards. The pools are dirty and not maintained. Washrooms are dirty and smelled bad. The buffet restaurant open for breakfast and lunch is extremely dirty with food edible but not good, with the same variety on a daily basis. Cold foods are warm. The atmosphere is of drunkenness and nothing more. Drinks are extremely watered down. Only the poorest quality of wines served at meals. Rooms are presentable but are dated with patio doors falling off and/or not locking/closing. No water pressure or warm/hot water in bathroom sinks, although good pressure and hot water in shower. The toilets sometimes flushed and often ran. Extremely noisy at pool area with loud, obnoxious music playing most of the day, even when no activities. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet vacation avoid this place at all costs. Room service is terrible. Overall service is poor, especially at the concierge level. Little to no care or attention given by head of guest services on injury to guest. Promises made by this individual were not kept. This resort allows dogs on the premises, which resulted in the dog being in the swim-up pool by our room, and also dog doo-doo on our patio. This resort caters to conventions and the attendees are given premium service and entertainment, which resulted in the cancellation of activities scheduled for other guests. Entertainment was basically non-existent - movies, TV award show, Karaoke, and the International Buffet night where the food was horrible and the music was too loud so that you could not even hear the person sitting beside you. This resort does not cater to guests with allergies or food intolerances and staff will, in fact, ask you to sign a waiver before serving you food that may affect you!!!

Secrets Huatulco/Hyatt The locations’ beauty second to none. The most incredible beach. Wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. A number of folks we spoke to this was there go to resort. One fella it was his 5th visit and another couple had been coming annually – this was their 10th year. Castaways was delightful for breakfast with an amazing view. The Barefoot Grill had good food but was overcrowded and understaffed. The rooms were status quo. The first week only 2 of the 3 elevators were working so an 8 to 10-minute wait was standard especially during peak meal times. Its true what you see online. You need to be up by 6:00 am to get a chair by the pool or the ocean. On a windy day, staff lowered all umbrellas due to safety. Guests left because it was just to hot to be out without the shade. So has guests left others came to take the chairs and proceeded to put the umbrellas back up. No staff to stop this. Other guests were left to tell people to lower the umbrellas but this fell on deaf ears. Sure enough the wind took down two umbrellas narrowly missing folks. These are heavy wooden umbrellas. Where was the staff? The seafood restaurant, lovely location but my meal was cold. They took it away and when it came back it was slightly warm. I advised the maître d and he raised he voice at me and said I was lying. I suggested he taste it but the verbal abuse continued so we simply left. The French restaurant, the food wasn’t great but the waitress was so lovely and friendly we simply overlooked the quality of the food. The mussels were tasty but my serving consisted of 7 mussels and only 4 were open. The Italian restaurant was our favorite. On arrival the concierge we dealt with was Carlos. I will remember him forever. So friendly. So joyful. And it was all an act. Regrettably I suffered serious injuries, needed surgery and was hospitalized in San Miguel for 6 days. Our daughter flew down to help. On her arrival day – Winnipeg – Toronto – Huatulco – hospital in San Miguel. When she left the hospital with my husband to go to Secrets it had been an extremely long stressful day for both of them. And how were they greeted as Secrets. Well Carlos turned full force ICE agent. In their faces yelling at them that they were trying to stay at Secrets without paying/registering because my daughter had a carryon bag. Since I was hospitalized, and we paid royally for Secrets, my daughter stayed in our room until my release. When I returned to Secrets (bed ridden) and learned about Carlos’ behaviour I was very angry. I spoke with Eduardo who I was advised was the head concierge. I told him Carlos behaviour was completely unacceptable (but apparently this behaviour is acceptable to Secrets so stop non paying guests). Now where does my daughter stay for the next 4 nights considering the circumstances. Zero compassion from Secrets/Hyatt chain. A room for my daughter would have been $600 Canadian a night and they did not have an adjoining room. They did not have any handicapped rooms available. All they could offer was a cot. Shortly after speaking to Eduardo, Carlos called our room and said they did have a handicapped room. They moved us to this room and we paid an additional $851.23 for a rollaway cot for our daughter as well as $3,260.47 for our extension. We paid up front for the ‘preferred’ service. Save your money. There was nothing preferred about the service this resort provides.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Secrets Huatulco and truly didn’t have a single bad experience. The food was excellent across the board, and while the resort is a bit older, it is very well maintained and incredibly clean. Everything felt comfortable and cared for. What really made our trip special was the staff. A big thank you to Carlos (with the blue bands), who was fantastic, and to Andrea, who greeted us every morning with a warm smile—it really set the tone for our days. One of the highlights of our trip was the romantic lobster dinner on the beach. It was such a memorable experience, and we’re very grateful to the team who made it happen (sorry we didn’t catch your names!). We also really appreciated the housekeeping staff, who added such thoughtful touches to our room, including beautiful rose petals on the bed and around the sink. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone at the resort—we’re already looking forward to coming back!

We had been to Secrets Huatulco in 2013 and loved it but never went back again till this March. Once we arrived we were reminded of all the things we loved about it the first time. If you like it hot then you'll love it there. Its older now but still lovely. The Spa has an amazing ocean view. Every interaction we had with any and all of the staff was great , amazing people. Housekeeping was great, landscaping very well kept and the pool areas even being older were very very well maintained. We loved it so much that we have made plans to go back in October, possibly Dec and for sure March of 2027. Very good experience. The Staff at CoCo Cafe were great. The ladies in Market cafe were amazing. Shout out to our House keeper for Room 5106 Doris. "Your Great" and also to Regina in Member services "You also are great and we are Thankful for you being our Rep. Overall a very excellent trip
