From the very first moment, this hotel impressed with flawless organization and warmth. The transfer was perfectly arranged – a smooth combination of car and boat that already felt like part of the Varanasi experience rather than just logistics. The location is outstanding. Situated right by the ghats, it offers the rare privilege of stepping out and simply walking along the Ganges. Being able to explore the riverfront directly from the hotel is something truly special. The hotel itself is small, charming, and full of character. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, and thoughtfully maintained. Housekeeping is excellent, and the overall standard of cleanliness is exceptional. What really elevates the experience is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Everything is perfectly organized, and communication – even via WhatsApp – is seamless, fast, and reliable. They also arrange excellent tours, making it easy to explore Varanasi in a meaningful and well-structured way. A special mention goes to the laundry service: fast, efficient, and perfectly handled. Despite being in the heart of such a vibrant city, the atmosphere in the hotel is calm and relaxing, especially at night – a true retreat after the intensity of the ghats. One small tip: during festival times, it is advisable to book a room without direct Ganges view, as celebrations on the river can get quite lively. Overall, this hotel offers a rare combination of charm, professionalism, and location – making it an exceptional place to stay in Varanasi. Highly recommended.

We had a genuinely wonderful stay in Varanasi, and a big part of that was our experience at Amritara Haveli. To begin with, the haveli is perfectly located near the riverfront, just a 15-minute walk from both Assi Ghat and Dashashwamedh Ghat, with amazing views from the common balcony and rooftop terrace. The hotel is beautifully decorated, our room was comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast was plentiful. Most of all, the staff was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and it was clear that everything was thoughtfully organized to make our stay enjoyable. We especially appreciated the two complimentary evening boat tours, the afternoon tea on the days when we were around to enjoy it, and our conversations with the two main people at reception, Hasan and the other gentleman whose name we unfortunately did not learn. Our apologies for that. It was also a delightful surprise to receive a room upgrade, which allowed us to enjoy a view of the steps at Shivala Ghat from the privacy of our room, without being observed ourselves. I also received a special gift for International Women’s Day, along with a slice of red velvet cake for both my husband and me at tea time. This was a lovely gesture. We appreciated all of this very much and would not hesitate to stay at the haveli again if we return to Varanasi. It was worth every penny.

Ho soggiornato una sola notte ed è stata una esperienza indimenticabile in questa struttura incantevole con accesso direttamente su un ghat del Gange... tutto perfetto..la posizione, la cortesia dello staff , la pulizia e i buffet (io e i miei amici abbiamo optato per colazione e cena inclusi) .. senza alcun dubbio consiglio questo hotel dove vivere lo spettacolo del sole che sorge e tramonta sul Gange direttamente dalla terrazza sul tetto

The staff members were very caring specially Anjali ,Shiva and the Duty Manager.The hotel is well situated and the hitel food is quite good.The room is well maintained with the required amentities.The toilet also is clean.

The bath taps could be labelled with Hot and cold water.The breakfast offering could be more varied with more continental food .The high ea could also be reviewed with more varieties and alos more supervision so as to avoid monkeys to come.
