Amritara Suryauday Haveli

The location is great. It is right on the Shivala ghat and all the major ghats are at walking distance . All the visits (ganga arti, temple visit etc) are easily arranged via the hotel. The hotel staff are excellent and would be happy to fulfil any reasonable requests.

Since the property is at the ghats, the way to reach the property is via the tight alleys of kashi bustling with traffic. It can be a challenging experience for the uninitiated. The hotel staff does guide you through the way. There is no hotel parking provided rather a private parking has to be used which costed us INR 400 (as of Jan 2026) for 24 hours.

A bit noisy and the filthy air was not kept outside (pollution level high, which of course is not their fault)

I stayed here for two nights and had a very good experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was polite and helpful, the room was spacious, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The location was also convenient, which made the stay even better.

There was nothing specific to dislike. Overall, everything went smoothly during our two-night stay, and the experience was pleasant.
