Great location within walking distance to all major sites. The cathedral is only five minutes walk away; the old town even closer. Reception staff professional, friendly and always willing to help. Good views from the rooftop bar (though that can get busy!)

Two things… Our room - a deluxe that we’d paid extra for - was noisy. I think this was due to older or inadequate secondary glazing. The hotel staff were accommodating in moving us to a different room after the first night (where the secondary glazing did work!) The breakfast was good but the service there not so good. For example, on two separate occasions I had the eggs made to order: these took longer than expected and were undercooked. When I asked for them to be cooked more I was told I’d have to wait until other guests’ orders had been filled!
