"Peaceful characterful hotel in Burford"

This is a beautiful historic hotel, perfect for a special occasion. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully furnished, with a large comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. We had a very peaceful night’s sleep followed by an excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed our special night at the Bay Tree.

"Great value & food"

We are locals and have visited the Bay Tree a number of times over the last few decades. Hadn’t been for years and didn’t realise Fullers are the owners now. Saw the food offer for 2 x fish and chips and a bottle of wine for £45, thought that was a real bargain and gave it a go. Wow. The quality of the food and wine was incredible. How often do you go for an offer meal midweek and come out thinking “why??” This was super fresh fish with glass-like batter. Curry sauce as well as the mushy peas. Proper chips. And the white wine (Vermentino) was excellent. A proper deal and no mistake. Nice atmosphere remains in place with friendly staff. Top cheffing that deserves to draw people in. Looking forward to returning.
