SeaLoft Oceanfront Hotel

Good pillows, one of the beds was good. The other, too soft. Cute room.

The room was good, but I paid extra for a balcony and it looked out into another hotel. No ice -- kept saying it would refill (tiny single ice machine in common area - got about 5 cubes in 2 days). Also, hot water took a very long time and water pressure was weak.

The staff were very nice, it was clean, and right on the beach. But if all the little things start adding up, it gets disappointing. Television was limited to about 12 channels which the staff blamed on the dish company. The ice machine never worked the entire time we were there. Staff said it always broke. The room safe was laying on a shelf next to the refrigerator but was not mounted. You could walk out of the room with it. It was the size of a brief case and pretty useless if not mounted. The shelf in the shower was broke so we had to put the soap and shampoo on the floor. Just overall disappointing.

in the 45 years of traveling and staying in hotels I have never been charged for parking. SeaLoft charges $20 per night! I parked elsewhere...the sheet were used and I found tiny bugs...the shampoo made my hair feel like I washed it with carnuba wax. At 8:30 a maid walked into my room without knocking! I as not expecting so many disappointments because my first stay a year earlier as great

I had a great time staying here. The room layout was perfect for a friend trip. There was plenty of room to move around and do your own thing without being on top of anyone else. We had a room facing the ocean and it was just incredible. The staff was so helpful and attentive! I would stay here again but there were a couple things that need updating. Control of the lighting was kind of wonky. I had to stand on a chair to reach a light switch 7ft off the ground. The bottom of the bathroom shelf broke when I was showering.

Hotel was recently renovated, and is in great shape. Very clean and comfortable. All staff was very friendly. They were out of coffee for the rooms. They offered coffee in the lobby instead, but it was hardly ever available.

Amazing location.

Very nicely renovated in a retro style. Lots of cute features and details. The front desk / manager, Shay, was lovely and super helpful with any lodging requests or questions we had about the local area. The location is great, with direct access to the beach and close to several shops and restaurants. It is not super close to the boardwalk, but for $4 (in exact cash) you can easily access the bus and ride down that way (5-10 min walk to the bus stop, no more than 10 min ride to the boardwalk area of OC). The SeaLoft has nice facility options on location, such as an outdoor pool… and their sister property, ALoft (bayside, across the main road from SeaLoft, 10 min walk), has an indoor pool and other amenities the SeaLoft lacks. There is ample parking right around the building, with additional options provided by the front desk if nothing is open. We really enjoyed the SeaLoft and recommend to anyone (couples, families, etc.) for a relaxing stay!
