The Mountaineer Inn

Reception was friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Parking was a challenge.

Always thought about staying here and glad we finally did. The high prices of our normal hotels drove us here this year. Lots of security cameras, which I appreciate riding expensive motorcycles. HOPEFULLY, the new ownership will not change to much.

Its nice brings good old memories in past. I will stay here again in the future. I recommend you stay here for history of the past.

Fair room cost for what you get - nothing! Extremely dated .. The Location was good

This hotel is long overdue for a facelift but over all comfortable and clean. It’s a great location. We have stayed here a number of times over the years.

we love staying there. wish you would bring back the complimentary breakfast. we miss it.

The employees were very nice. Usually i like ac units in the hotels i stay at, but the temperature was good anyway. I didnt mind taking my service dog with me everywhere. Overall a good place.

I had hopeful expectations for this place but in full transparency I was pretty let down. We came to Asheville for our anniversary and to enjoy the autumn mountains so we didn't expect to stay at the hotel all day. The location was FANTASTIC and close to everything but they must have some pretty thin walls because I was woken up every night by cars driving down the road and loud people not acknowledging the lateness of the hour. If the inn had quiet hours, they didn't enforce them. The rooms also don't have any temperature control which I wasn't crazy about. A little outdated in some ways but that stuff takes time. There were good things to be sure, a very charming place with a lot of potential. I hope during this "post-renovation" time period they called it, they take these things into account. I am hopeful but hesitant to return

The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The bathroom had some dark areas and corners that probably could be cleaned up with bleach. The rest of the bathroom area was clean. It would’ve been helpful to have had more than two small towels. Location is good for going places.
