Elkwater Lake Lodge and Resort

It was quiet, food was good.

The condo wasn’t as clean as it could have been. The front door didn’t latch properly. The grounds could have been kept better.

Good location in the Town of Elkwater. Comfortable room. Easy walk to the beach.

Restaurant was not open on Monday, contrary to the sign on the door. Had to drive out to the Elkwater Park Golf Club to get a full breakfast before we continued on our trip.

The location is great

The place is way out dated, the couch has stains all over it and the same for the carpet. One light is missing a bulb. It really needs a good over haul, very out dated and for the amount it cost not worth it

Proximity to the lake was great.

We feel catfished by the website photos versus the actual facility. Double down that sentiment regarding the in-house restaurant. We could have handled this no problem, however a medical emergency forced us to checkout a couple of hours after checking in. We asked the hotel manager if we could get a refund on the second of two nights. He told me no problem, then I called Booking to resolve and it was explained to us that the refund was up to the hotel manager. Booking sent the email and it was obviously ignored. Now we are stuck $660 for one night stay at the Catfish hotel

Room are not clean. Our family has two separate incidents with over charging.
