Great colonial property in a peaceful garden, magnificent swimming pool, and excellent smiling helpful staff.

Just a little remote from the center (the free shuttle is great but still not enough), but that is also the price for silence.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens and pool area. The rooms are very spacious, serene and clean. The evening turn down service is excellent.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating but only a few staff members spoke English which made it difficult to communicate at times. I did not eat at the hotel, although the menu looked great the prices were more than expected and I opted for more authentic meals in town. Location was very nice and quiet but a 20min walk to the town which was inconvenient at times.

Very comfortable room in pleasant gardens. Nice restaurant.

Wish we had been told that breakfast included in room rate.

The rooms are large and well equipped.

The hotel is next to a very noisy street. Traffic can be heard throughout the whole day. At night, the restaurant across the street runs high volume music.

Everything beside the rooms ! I have a glass of watermelon juice in the room since checked in and it stays there until I checked out! The hotel on it own is very beautiful but sadly lack of maintenance. Toilettes at the pool was extremely dirty. They should have just locked it down. Pool towels have holes and stains on every single one of them. A towel hanger in my room was broken in front of the housekeeping and they just put the broken piece there without fixing anything. First use of toilettes it was broken. We called and they send some one to "fix" it. 2 uses later, it was broken again and it kept going on like this until our 4th call. I told them we can not call each time we need to use toilettes and they needed to really fix this problem after that it was fixed! Our room is in the main building. We can hear the karaoke bar close to the hotel very loudly. If you do not need to sleep before 11 pm it would be fine... They service is hard to discribe. The staff are kind and helpful but they do not understand what you say or they are just not trained to work in a five stars hotel. We had lunch there once. The food was tasty but very very overpriced comparing to other very nice restaurants in luang prabang. I asked if the orange juice is fresh before order and got told that it is not because it is TOO expensive. By the way the room cost over 200€ per night! They have big management problem. We did not even see a manager there. Good comments on googles are not even from guests. Negative comments never been answered. By far this is my worst experience in hotels ever. 5 stars is such a joke!!

Absolutely beautiful hotel in Luang Prabang which was the perfect ending to our 12 days in Laos. Hotel was in a great location just outside the historic centre but the hotel runs a regular, free shuttle bus service into the town. Room was very spacious with everything I needed including a big comfortable bed and terrace. All the staff here were lovely; very friendly and helpful. Cocktail bar was beautiful and has a buy one, get one free offer during happy hour. Pool was stunning too. Good breakfast.

The menu for lunch/dinner was a little disappointing. Not much choice and pretty overpriced. There are a couple of authentic Lao restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel (a hot pot restaurant right opposite for example) which offer great food at a far cheaper price.

What a wonderful hotel, it was like stepping back into the past. Full of charm and atmosphere with beautiful grounds and a fantastic pool. My suite was just fab - incredibly comfortable, with everything you need and really effective aircon. It was great having breakfast on the verandah of the main building each morning - also very tasty. And the bar was a particular highlight of our visit - cozy and stylish. There were very few people staying during our visit - hopefully that was because it was low-season, because this really is a special place to stay. It's a little bit away from the centre of town, but that made it really peaceful and relaxing. The staff were terrific - incredibly helpful and kind. Many thanks to them for such an enjoyable stay!

We had one lunch at the hotel which was really tasty. But otherwise we ate out as we felt the prices in the restaurant were too expensive.

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious but the hotel far from the town centre. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the town centre but only 4 times a day and it's not very reliable, it can be late or early. If you need transport outside of those hours the hotel charges an extortionate amount, you are better off finding transport elsewhere or walking. Breakfast was a la carte with very limited options. We stayed for 3 days and couldn't use the pool because it was closed for maintenance, we weren't even allowed to use the sun loungers. I understand pools require maintenance, but we were never told either before we arrived or at check-in.
