Theodora Suites - Adults Only

The cave hotel experience was a must for Santorini, and I’m glad we did it at Theodora. The sunset view was incredibly charming and romantic, and as the other reviewers have said, this hotel is exactly where everyone was lining up to see the sunset so the location was perfect. Hotel itself is more a collection of 6 boutique rooms so don’t expect a hotel with receptions, staff and common amenities (thought there was a rooftop we could have used for pictures but nope, didn’t get access though we requested multiple times). Regardless, you don’t need a rooftop if you have the private balcony, and the hostess very nicely brought out wine during sunset, which is a very nice touch.

The three blue domes are just outside of the our room door. Perfect location! Timely because we went there during the start of the off season, less tourists outside our suite. Too bad the jacuzzi is not working, could have been perfect! Food is not that ok. We had a great stay though.

We had an excellent stay at Theodora. Literally the best location for the sunset, right by the famous blue dome church. The cave rooms were awesome. Breakfast was provided each morning and the rooms were very, very clean!! Staff and owner were friendly and very accomodating. Will 10/10 book again!

Good location for the sunset. Unfortunately, when we were there, it was cloudy so couldn't see the sunset. Very Close to the main points in Oia (3 blue domes, church...). The host was nice. Thank you.

This property was in an excellent location! Bus loads of people rushing in daily and sitting on the steps to the hotel to view the sunset....really is the best spot to take in the Santorini sunset. The beds were too hard and were wrapped in plastic, for cleanliness, but that made my husband and I feel like I was sleeping on a toddler’s bed since you could hear the plastic with every move. I had very bad sleep while there, but other than that it was a great hotel. The only other thing I would say that is my opinion is that I believe that since I booked using a third party I received a room with a more obstructed view than folks that would booked direct. Again, that is not verified only a hunch based on folks that checked in after me and my husband and their rooms being on floors higher which provided unobstructed views. The staff was great about providing transportation to and from the airport and working around our excursion schedule to provide us with breakfast. They also provided complimentary wine for those sitting on their patios watching the sunset and that was a nice unexpected touch!

Theodora Suites with the view of the volcanos exceeded our expectations! The room and facility was extremely clean and well taken after. The personal jacuzzi was so nice to sit in and watch the boats go by. The host is extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Would absolutely recommend this place to everyone. The only “issue” some may find is that it is a popular place to take pictures and you will have to go through a crowd to leave and enter the area. It didn’t bother us.

The staff were incredible and the rooms were perfect for a relaxing stay. Best hotel we’ve ever stayed at.

My stay at Theodora Suites was nothing short of amazing. I stayed in one of the caldera suites, which is located directly above the iconic blue domes - couldn't ask for a better view! I arrived much earlier than check in time, but they were able to accommodate me as soon as I got there, which was fantastic. I was dropped off a few blocks away, but someone came to meet me and help carry my luggage to the room (through the massive crowds in Oia!). The hotel also has a location on the sunset side, which has a great balcony right near the castle that you are allowed to use. You can view the sunset away from the crowd. I was even brought a glass of white wine to sip on! A wonderful experience. They also helped me arrange a taxi to the airport, and had someone help me with my luggage at 4:45am. The room itself was very spacious - included a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. A bit humid, but to be expected with a cave suite. Breakfast put out each morning (although I was never around to have it!). The staff even prepared a small take-away breakfast for me for the morning of my departure, since my flight was so early. Very thoughtful of them! I also did not use the jacuzzi, but each room has it's own jacuzzi that is located on the upper balcony. It is a shared area (ie - not private, the tubs are right next to one another), but was nice to have. The balcony has some tables and lounge chairs to use as well. Again, beautiful view of the blue domes and Oia.

Can view the sunset, but it would be better if the curtain can move to one side. They have porter to help luggage, just need to inform your arrival time, then they can pick you from bus station
