Candlewood Suites Avondale-New Orleans by IHG

The rooms where very clean. I like the dove products in the bathroom. I enjoyed my stay.

Jessica was very welcoming, she made our entire stay comfortable. She was knowledgeable about the area and the hotel and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The hotel was under construction but the room we stayed in was completely renovated. It was clean housekeeping staff was friendly so was the other front desk staff. They were missing some things in the suites due to the construction but Jessica was able to get us everything we needed. When I visit the area again I will return. Jessica is an asset and really made our stay worth it.

Only issue is there is no ice makers in public spaces. Each room has a freezer with an ice maker. Ours was not working right and only made two trays of ice during our stay. I called the front desk hoping they could have someone look at it but was told there was nothing to be done and they didn’t have anyone to fix it. Wonder what would have happened if a toilet was overflowing?

The room was clean and spacious along with an actual kitchen setup.

Not enough places to eat at near by or grocery store

The hotel was nice no complaints but I will tell you the people are what made the whole experience. Jessica and Beth where so sweet. They greated and wished us well any time we left or returned but the real MVP is Sarah. She was so knowledgeable. It was like having a personal trip advisor for everything. Need a king cake day of mardi gras she knew where to send me. What's the difference in parades not a problem she's got u. Not sure if a place is safe she will tell u where to be and where to avoid. She was so amazing and really made us feel welcome in new orleans. I don't return to the same hotel to offen but I will be back to this one ohhh and a major plus the beds where actually soft and comfortable!!!!

Jessica is great! Wonderful customer service! Couldn’t recommend her enough! She is quick and makes sure you’re taken care of! Made my process fast and simple and answered any questions we had. She deserves a raise, big thanks to her and her kindness

The customer service was amazing I want to give Sarah a ten star rating. She went above and beyond to help our every need. we will definitely be staying there again. The room was clean and there was everything we needed. We enjoyed everything they had to offer

Thanks Ms . Sarah , From the moment we checked in , it was very clear she paid attention to every detail on my reservation. Above and beyond guest services . Had no issues made our stay very comfortable. Even shared laughs with me and my daughter . The hotel was clean and home feeling with all updated appliances, spotless refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher . Everything was amazing !

Property was in construction, however my suite was really clean and perfect and the staff was really friendly with us no complains.
