Ottimo hotel

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Marbela Residence in September 2014 for 7 nights. This was as close as we could get to authentic Italy - fresh fish, fruits, vegetables nearby. We cooked our meals, shopped and ate like the locals. The room that we had was more like a flat, with a full kitchen, full bathroom, dining room and a wonderful patio to dine al fresco or just enjoy the view. Patrizia and the staff - from the front desk to the cleaning staff- were welcoming and very helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Marbela Residence. The next time, we visit Palermo, we will definitely stay at Hotel Marbela Residence.

Personale gentilissimo, camera come promesso con aria condizionata, decorosa. Poco varia la colazione ma comunque discreta, comunque soggiorno gradevole

Purtoppo mi sono potuto fermare solo per una notte,tornero'sicuramente personale gentilissimo e professionale.

Hotel Marbela Residence was the place I was looking for when I stayed in Palermo. It is very well located, easy to reach from the airport but also for visits to the beautiful Palermo’s town centre. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet; more than a room is a flat with a lovely living area, a perfectly equipped kitchen, a large bedroom with fitted wardrobes; I mainly enjoyed the terrazza with a nice panorama where I spent my evenings. I really recommend the Hotel Marbela Residence!

The hotel is located in a residential area not far from the centre. It is a residence with nice quite spacious mini flats that includes a bedroom, a large sitting room with two sofa beds, a comfortable bathroom with both shower and bath tub and a small kitchen. There are both refurbished and non refurbished suites, we had a new one and was very nice, we didn't see the old ones. Staff is friendly and rooms are made up every day. Palermo is a fascinating city, with a lot of historical land marks. The centre is very dirty, much of it looks abandoned with incredibly beautiful noble palaces in total ruin; but you feel safe to walk there and it is really pictoresque. If you visit Palermo, that you shoul do, don't miss to go to "Bar Alba" in Don Bosco Square, a bit far from the centre but you will find there the best cannolli, cassata and arancine.

We stayed at this hotel one night. This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in! The night front desk clerk was rude, unhelpful, and they lied to us over the phone about having internet access. They made us pay upfront (80 Euros) mostly likely because we would have left if we saw the rooms ahead of time (the only reason we stayed is because it was late at night and we were flying out the next day). The rooms were dingy and old looking. The bathroom shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and had a wooden palette in it for god knows what. The first room we were in did not have a working air conditioner (in 90 degree heat) so we moved to another room which was just as bad. This hotel was a bad ending to an otherwise lovely trip to Italy. I would NOT recommend it to my worst enemy. Stay away!
