"Gorgeous hotel"

Gorgeous hotel. Excellent restaurant. Pool was a bit old and could use some pool service for drinks and food but overall a beautiful hotel and very attentive staff

"Amazing Hotel"

This was an amazing hotel. The staff was great the location awesome, the character of the hotel was stunning and it was in a perfect location. After dealing with the crowds in Rome this was a welcome retreat to a wonderful location. Orvieto the old town is right there but the peace and tranquility of the hotel is unmatched. The restaurant was fantastic and the rooms were very comfortable.

"More like a 3 star than a 4 star"

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was really good. The room was fine for Italian standards and I chose the lower cost room. The pool area was not so maintained and the water in the pool had a lot of trash floating in it. Path to the pool was a bit rustic. I felt the hotel was a bit tired, we were likely one of two rooms being rented during this night.

"step back in time"

The abbey is restored for modern comfort, but maintains all of the character of the 12 century structure. It was simply amazing to be able to spend a night in such a historic monument. Just outside of the walls of Orvieto. Getting into the city was easy with convenient parking. Having a car to visit this hotel is the best way to travel here. If you are going by train, it could be done as well, but less convenient.

"Unfulfilled expectations"

Hotel is shabby and in desperate need of upgrading. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and had bed bugs. The hotel restaurant was passable but not up to expectations. It's too bad the hotel is so poorly maintained as it is a lovely historical site, has a beautiful view and is close to the centre of Orvieto.
