La Badia Di Orvieto

Great location, rooms, food and service

We stayed just one night at this very interesting and unique property. Wonderful staff, excellent restaurant and a unique property and setting made the visit memorable. The owners are doing a remarkable job in modernising the extremely old and historic property while keeping history alive. More work to be done for sure but a lovely and worthwhile stay, close to Orvieto and main roads, for a good price.

Room 34 had a very hard bed Room F1 had a better bed Very good breakfast and customer service but could be more consistent

Relaxing stay very quiet

Clean, quiet and great staff. Close to Orvieto and Civita. Great experience.

Staff and accomodations were top notch. The ancient monastery setting was soectacular with breakfast in a picturesque courtyard. We loved it.

La Badia is a beautiful ancient facility, mostly brought up to current standards. The ambiance of the place is extraordinary. The views of Orvieto are beautiful. The quiet location makes La Badia a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room was clean but old with electrical wires overt - that seems to be dangerous. I did not like the restaurant - too fancy and expensive and not tasty. I was "nice"one time experience - the place itself is beautiful, but needs more investment I will not go there for a second time.

Amazing stay in a castle. Grounds are spectacular. Must see the church inside, it's floor is stunning, and the frescoes. Room is basic, sitting rooms are expansive and comfortable. Would return here if visiting Orvietto again.
