"Very good"

8.0

The room was clean with comfy bed and space outside to sit and relax. Staff in the pub were very friendly, easy to talk to (as were the locals) and the food was very good but a bit much for me (so good sized portions). A good spot to stop over.

We were made to feel welcome

We couldn't have a evening meal there as there was a problem in the kitchen so we had to stop in Marlborough town for food before we went to the Barley Corn

"Overnight stay"

Great stay, despite the pub being on the main road it was really quiet and we had the windows wide open due to the heat . Room was spotless and well equipped. Food was amazing, staff really friendly and helpful.

"Disappointing"

4.0

Comfy bed, nice shower room, location good

Large mirror not hung, was just leaning on the wall, broken fan under dressing table, broken picture in closet, pain of glass where you hang clothes that came out of picture, coffee pod still in machine from last person and dirty cup, this was advertised as a delux room, it was not!!, we paid £85 and they wanted us to pay £12 each for cooked breakfast even tho it said included in price, we declined and i just had cereal which were in plastic tubs, no juices, jams croisants etc which they ssid would be availabe, partner had a peice of toast n butter, host did offer jam tho to be fair, wouldnt stay again as not worth the money.

"It is with great sadness that we had to write this review but feel it is important for other people"

The pub served Stella 🍺

This Inn is tired and run down and looks like a building site. We were on the phone after one night trying to find somewhere else and unfortunately all booked up but we checked out anyway. The long list of problems: Bathroom extraction fan not working and shower bulb flashing which should have been checked. WiFi does not work in the room Lumpy beds and noisy springs Stale smelling room with duvets and pillows smelling musty Broken fan which made it very noisy and much needed on a hot weekend. We paid £120 per night for B&B but did not realise the breakfast consisted of toast, cereal and tea. No fruit, yogurt or pastries as you would expect of a continental and we were told the full cooked breakfast was an extra £12 each! When we checked out early, we were asked if everything was OK and proceeded to mention above - we were met with surprise and told the beds were new in the last 2 years!! No compensation was offered. We would not recommend this place to stay.
