Very spacious rooms in a traditional ryokan. It felt like a real cultural experience. Very nice elaborate breakfast. Very good location walkable to the historic area and restaurants.

The rooms were a bit worn.

The staff is so nice and helpful. We tried both continental and Japanese breakfast. Both were amazing. Because of our honeymoon, they prepared nice surprises for us.

"Authentic ryokan experience in takayama"

The hotel was well maintained. Convenient location. Excellent service. Room was a bit outdated but spotless clean. Great breakfast for both western and Japanese options

Room was over priced considering the size, so do not recommend the standard room. It was also upsetting to receive a call from hotel after 10pm, asking if we had used the locker in the public bath.
