Excellent stay - great food and hospitality and very comfortable

Beautiful location, quick and easy access for walking etc. Comfortable rooms, warm welcoming owners and staff, good food.

We had such a lovely time the last couple of days at The Plough. All the staff there are really friendly and helpful (esp when I needed a document scanning). The man doing the breakfast was hilarious ! The room was clean, the food was delicious I can’t recommend it enough. Great location (esp for photography). Would definitely book again.

My husband and I stayed here last Saturday night with our Wheaten terrier while visiting Longshaw Estate. Our room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. We had dinner in the bar that night and the food was amazing! We were treated with the same great service and food at breakfast the next morning. A definite bonus for us was how dog friendly they were. We could take our dog anywhere, so it was nice not to be confined to a scruffy corner like we often have been when we've stayed/dined elsewhere. Have already recommended, and woulld definitely book again.

Just returned from a stay at the Plough Inn. The accommodation is very clean and extremely comfortable. The location is very good for exploring the Peak District with many walks locally. The railway station with trains to Manchester and Sheffield is within a mile.
