"Wonderful place to stay!"

I had a fantastic stay at The Plough Inn. It was my first stay anywhere since things reopened and they did a great job with keeping everyone safe, without affecting the quality of the entire experience. The owners and all staff were friendly and accommodating. The food at the pub (and breakfast) was delicious, and I can say that I did not have one bad meal or drink. The location is in close proximity to many hikes and attractions. I traveled with my dog and she was welcomed everywhere and loved the attention she received. It was the perfect place to stay with her. I enjoyed my stay so much, that I decided to stay an extra night in a hut.

One of the nicest rooms we have stayed in where we have been allowed our dog. From arrival the staff were friendly & helpful, breakfast was great & the evening meals relaxed & enjoyable with a good menu selection. Perfect location for exploring the Peak District with walks on the doorstep. Will be very happy to return for another break away.

Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room and great breakfast. Some of the rooms are only accessible through a small metal stair case, so there are some potential accessibility issues

"Dog-friendly Peak District Gem"

Lovely stay with our dog in this very friendly Derbyshire pub. All the staff were extremely friendly and we stayed in one of the new dog-friendly shepherd huts. Extremely well appointed and loads of secure ground for our dog to run around. Great location with spectacular scenery all around. Good standard food served in the bar (dog friendly) and restaurant.

Nice pub hotel in pleasant location. Good uncompliicated menu and excellent breakfast .The rooms in the rear annexe are probably the best.
