The Waterman

Es war vor Ort, wie es auf den Bildern ausgesehen hat. Das Bett war sehr bequem, das Zimmer nicht zu klein. Obwohl man den Pub unter den Zimmern gehört hat, war es nicht zu laut. Hat eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre erzeugt. Das Essen im Pub war ausgesprochen lecker, der Service schnell und das Personal sehr freundlich. Check-in sowie Check-out liefen super schnell und problemlos ab.

Die Löffel, die es im Zimmer gab, wurden nicht gut gereinigt. Ansonsten erschien es mir sauber. Nur diese Kleinigkeit hat mich etwas schlecht fühlen lassen.

Very comfortable, very clean. Great staff; excellent early evening food (though I hadn't booked). Much enjoyed.

Nothing to complain about. Near the top of the pub accommodation scale, as I've experienced it.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was warm and shower was hot. Bathroom clean.

This is the third time we've stayed and the third different room. Whilst the previous two rooms have been in need of maintenance and refresh, they were at least a decent size but this time room 3 was just too small, felt like a broom cupboard, totally unloved and still had a Xmas wreath on the door (blocking the room number). The cushions on the bed were grubby, the walls seemed to have lots of condensation dribble stains, there was no where to put anything or move with two people in the room, a bare bulb from the ceiling, the toilet stopped flushing and overall would put us off of staying here again.

Nice and cozy

Came for a breakfast on Thursday, was served by Megan. The breakfast was tasty, had a problem with my breakfast but Megan sorted right away. Would definitely come again and hats off to Megan, she made mine and my husband’s breakfast enjoyable. Nothing was to much to ask.

Lovely hotel and pub. Cosy room, very clean. Staff very, very welcoming and attentive. Great choice of drinks, amazing home cooked food. Second stay here in as many years- will be coming back next year! 10-15 minute walk into city centre. Small car park nearby which I’ve managed to park in both times.

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff and Management for an excellent stay at the Waterman this weekend. From booking to the actual stay I an my friend could not fault a think from start to finish we were made so welcome and looked after with regards to any questions we had. The team should be very proud, special thanks to Oakley, Megan, Noah and Brandon. Will certainly look to stay again. Breakfast was exceptional. I hope that Head Office appreciate all of their hard work.

For context, I haven't been in since it has been taken over by Young and Co's... The pub has lots of screens to appease sports fans, though none turned on, thankfully, it was quiet but I expect the place gets lively when they have events on - upcoming Six Nations, for example. Clean as pubs go (no sticky floors.) Mitcham's Corner isn't the best for parking, so probably best to get there on foot from elsewhere. They have a good selection of drink, as is the same with food - Noah behind the bar was friendly and recommended a good few drinks to me which was a reassuring sign of well informed staff. The fish and chips came as a healthy portion, priced in line with the rest of Cambridge, really. It does have the modern 'gastropub' pretense with sports bar screens, but a welcoming atmosphere all the same. Not the world's finest experience, but no one goes to a pub for that. Based on this experience, and as far as Cambridge pubs are concerned, I rate highly. Cannot fault the service, which counts for a lot!
