The Gables Guest House

Location was perfect and so close to the bus interchange. Breakfast room and conservatory were lovely. Sausages were delicious! Good breakfast. Lovely view from the room. Lovely hot water.

Sash windows didn’t appear to be openable due to being painted.

Amazing friendly staff :) . Really nice breakfast, the scrambled eggs were delicious! Really good location accessible through public bus transport. Parking is available on a first come first served basis.

My only tiny complaint would be that the shampoo and body wash seemed to be diluted and not great quality, but I had my own shampoo so it was not a big deal.

Good double glazing, and you need it as the road outside the room was very noisy with the window open.

O quarto era muito espaçoso, a cama era extremamente confortável e todos os funcionários eram prestáveis e muito simpáticos. Para além disso tinha estacionamento disponível sem qualquer custo.

Poderia ter mini fridge no quarto.

Good facilities well kept and comfortable

An observation at breakfast there's a lovely selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit options of toast and jams however when you order for example poached eggs/ beans on toast the plates need to be large enough to accommodate the meal, and importantly one hopes that is what is served. Not unfortunately eggs or beans arriving separately and you're expected to help yourself to toast which obviously takes time and potentially a number of people may want toast, which means your food goes cold and or hard, this wasn't the case when I last stayed there.

Breakfast was great, location fantastic, staff welcoming, accommodating of the dog. Good strong filter coffee !
