Excellent location and friendly staff. Very clean and tidy with decent freshly cooked breakfast.

Room was compact and bathroom very compact (although shower was fine). Breakfast would have benefited from a little more fruit, some nuts/seeds and maybe a pastry.

Very comfortable, quiet, super clean hotel with nice staff. The hotel is perfectly located near the trailheads of some walks, the bus station, a recreation centre and plenty of cafes and restaurants as well as supermarkets. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was very nice and we would definitely recommend the hotel as a base in Ambleside (especially if you’re on a car-free holiday!)

While breakfast was delicious, we would have loved the hours to be more flexible (a little longer and especially starting a little earlier than 8 a.m.) and we would have liked there to be more fresh fruit. But all in all our stay was fantastic.
