We only stayed for one night but it was a great stay. Our room had a beautiful view of the Alps from a balcony. Also, breakfast is normally served 8-10am. However, we had to leave early and could not wait until 8am for breakfast. The hotel had breakfast ready by 7am and invited us to come early!
Quaint Bavarian Guest House, idyllic setting. If you want a better than average experience in a simple but classic hotel in Bavaria, this is the place for you. Food is good, atmosphere is good, lodging conditions are good and the Scenery is too die for.
excellent views, excellent location...room was cozy and comfortable and had a nice little home feel to it. they could use a small refrigerator and microwave in there but it can be manageable without for a short stay
I have been staying several times at the Hotel Arnika. It is not the best accommodation in Oberammergau, but it is clean and has an authentic Bavarian atmosphere. The location is practical if you attend the NATO School in Oberammergau.

The check in was pleasant and quick by a young girl, but the cleaning ladies and the manager on the weekend should definitely not work in hospitality. We stay in the Alps almost every other weekend, always exploring a new region and hotel and these folks were definitely the rudest we've ever experienced. So unfortunate as the town itself is charming but a bit of a walk. Both the manager and the cleaning lady had an attitude unacceptable in the hotel industry. On Sunday, I called and called the front office off and on for an hour with no reply. When I saw a cleaning lady I told her I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the front desk and with a rude voice she firmly told me I should just go downstairs if I need something. I told her I just needed someone to help with my bags as I couldn't take them all down alone as I was with my baby. She said fine she will go check. 30 minutes passed and obviously no one came or called. I called again and the lady picked up and I asked for help with my bags and she said we don't have anyone here that can help with luggage in a very rude voice and told me to do it myself. I told her I would love to but I can't leave my baby alone. I asked if they had a luggage trolley and she just said no and so I said I would wait for my husband and she said fine and hung up.
Visited this hotel for the second time and the experience was even better. They have improved the WiFi service and the staff was a friendly as ever. Breakfast choices even improved!
We had a great time. The breakfast was great. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room is very new. I will come back again
Clean comfortable and friendly hotel in a stunning location. The staff are friendly and accommodating in this small but very comfortable hotel. I came here for a small break after some business in Munich and before more business in London. I can recommend this place.
We stayed for just one night at this hotel. Our room overlooked the mountains and it was wonderful to sit on our balcony and watch the sun setting. The room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast was good as was dinner in the evening. Overall I cannot fault this hotel and would have liked to have stayed longer. I would happily return.
