2泊３日でお世話になりました。 途中、雨にあった時も、傘の貸し出しもあり、サービスが行き届いていたので、良かったです。

期待していたほどではなかった このサービスなら、もっとリーズナブルな値段で泊まれるホテルはいろいろある。 値段の割には高級感を感じられなかった。 フロントの対応も特に悪くもないが良くもなかった。

Fairview Hotel by Marriot at Sapporo Japan: With decades of travel experience, we have never had a worse stay and have so little value from our paid rate. From the start, it was a bad experience and only got worse over the four nights we stayed. The checkin staff tried to make us pay an extra fee for a slightly larger room (2 square meters larger), which should be afforded us as Gold Elite Bonvoy members (according to the rules) that is in the same room category. However, this hotel says that they do not adhere to the rules of the Bonvoy program and don’t have to follow any protocol from the Marriot group. They refused to check us in unless we pay ¥4,700 per night more for the already extremely high price of ¥62,800 per night. Keep in mind that this place is listed as a three-star hotel (although it is more a two star at best). The staff are incredibly racist and speak in a manner that is not how customers are normally addressed in Japanese. After threatening to have our credit card company get involved, the staff relented and checked us in without additional payment but changed the room to the very smallest of all the rooms as a sort of punishment. The room we were in is the size of a closet. The environment looks like a prison bare. The sheets are uncomfortable rough polyester. We asked for cotton sheets and was told that they only have these polyester type that gave us red bumps. We had to ask twice for little soaps (bar soap) as this hotel only has bulk pump soap dispensers in the bathrooms. We asked for a room with the front view and not even that request was fulfilled. The morning breakfast is an additional fee of nearly ¥3,000 per person with the quality of food very mediocre and the staff lazy & unresponsive. Any request to replenish empty troughs of food was ignored or conveniently stalled. The orange machine was overflowing from not cleaning the filter and when we brought it to the attention of staff, they pretended to be too busy to attend to it, brushing us off as if we shouldn’t tell them. There are many more reasons why we would not recommend this property and would not recommend the Bonvoy Marriot program but even this review will be ignored by the company so there is little point in going on. Just know not to stay here and to look for other places that do have some pride in making their guests feel welcome. We did not feel welcome and we paid over ¥230,000 for a four night stay in stuffy small room with uncomfortable sheets trying to avoid racist, rude, and unhelpful staff. We are reconsidering our use of the Marriot Bonvoy program as it seems to be useless with regards to usage or recognition of elite status. We would get better treatment at any hotel, paying less, having less stress, and not expect anything from a worthless Bonvoy program.

Good position. Nice breakfast and restaurant

Centrally located hotel with all the basic comforts. The front desk staff need to be more helpful. They are polite but do the most basic thing without any focus on meeting customer expectations or needs. We approached them few times with different questions but only received polite responses which didn’t help. But the most irritating thing about this hotel if you don’t have breakfast included? Fish market coupons. They are basically useless. The hotel gives them to you in lieu of breakfast but the fish market mostly has stores selling seafood etc. How does that help with breakfast? My advice: stop this useless gesture which only irritates and upsets guests.
