The Address hotel is a second-hand property now run by Indigo Hotels. There are holes in the floor and mattresses are so worn-out that your back hurts. The place is out in the middle of nowhere, so you need two buses or a twenty minute walk and one half-hour bus ride to get to Mauritius' great beaches such as Trou aux Biches. The walk is a bit dangerous at night as it is a country lane (dark, cars, vans). Alternatively there are only overpriced taxis (always over ten euros to get anywhere) or a free hotel shutle, which drives you to Port Louis only, not to a beach. Plus that is only once/ twice a day.. The little pool is very shallow and there are only about 6 sunbeds, 2 large parasols and chairs. So people reserve theirs the night before because it's completely insufficient for the hotel size. Reception is not helpful. The only positive thing is the food and service at breakfast and that some rooms are really quiet. In the evening you are likely to see cockroaches at the restaurant terrace if you sit at the side.

Ruhiges Hotel, weit abgelegen von allen Touri-Orten. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es genossen, nicht inmitten des Touri-Trubels von Mauritius zu wohnen. Malerische Location am Fluss. Transportmittel (z.B. Mietwagen, Roller oder Taxi) notwendig, um von dort wegzukommen, wenn man sich etwas anschauen oder an den Strand möchte. Essen in beiden Restaurants gut bis sehr gut (mit Ausrutschern), Service durchwachsen (mäßig bis überdurchschnittlich, je nach MitarbeiterIn), Spa-Angebote super, Atmosphäre sehr entspannt und freundlich. Die Sundowner-Bootsfahrt gab/gibt es nicht (mehr). Geheimtipp: der etwas abgelegenere Pool bei den Villen, die auch zum Hotelgelände gehören! :)

Great, quiet location! Beautiful views. Very attentive front desk staff, two wonderful restaurants.

The hotel looks very nice and the view to the sea is pretty. It also boasts a swimming pool with a few lounge chairs which is nice. For breakfast, there is a wide choice, however there are loads of tiny flies where they cut the fruits, there are birds flying in the restaurant and land to eat the bread, jams, Nutella, peanut butter. and landing on the plane where they prepare the pizzas... Also, they have a parrot/ara who climbs on the tables to steal the sugar. If you leave your table with food, the birds will quickly have a feast of your breakfast. We also saw cockroaches roaming around the tables outside. We had half-board. For diner, you have the choice of two restaurants: one Japanese (with a menu where the only choice is on the main) and one Mediterranean (with a 950 MUR allowance per person). The food for the Japanese restaurant is nice but only includes grilled fish, grilled meat, or noodles. The allowance for the Mediterranean restaurant is not enough to cover 3 course meal and on top of this, the choices are very limited and most local dishes are out of allowance choice.

Cleaning with a high pressure hose the area outside the breakfast room during breakfast!! Dishes, glasses and pizza boxes left on the staircase from when we arrives at around 17h00 to when we left the next day at 08h30. Food not great

Hotel selbst ist ein wenig heruntergekommen! Wir waren eine Woche mit dem Mietwagen unterwegs, daher hat es uns nicht so gestört! Das Essen war sehr lecker, besonders das Restaurant Izumi! Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Suitable for those on business trip. Not accessible to the beach. The view is nice. The room is spacious and nice as well.
