Hotel Casa Castel

Nice hotel near to the beach. Friendly... the one thing missing is the swimming pool.

Pros: Clean room and Overall nice little boutique hotel; staff is helpful; located on Manga neihgboorhood an upscale residential area. Cons: We stayed at room 9, they should put a glass other than a curtain to block the tall window on the right corner because it gets loud in the mornings due to the fact that it’s next to the kitchen and you can hear bangs and noise from the hotel staff making breakfast every morning. Breakfast has limited options; and doesn’t have a pool anymore.

A lovely place with kind, responsive staff. The room was very simple--sheets were clean but the blanket on the bed looked dirty and little washed. Same for the one chair in the room. Breakfast is made to order and the welcome drink is a nice touch. We rented the bikes available at the hotel which was a great option. The neighborhood is residential and not centrally located (20+ minute walk to Getsamini at a fast pace). The food options in the area are limited. It's a good place on a budget, just a little further from the action and the beach. Worth noting a taxi to beach from here is less than $5.

Nice hotel located in a quiet residential area Staff are very nice

The hotel facilities are excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is probably an old house that was converted to hotel. My room had one double bed and the room size was more than sufficient and it was relatively fresh even without the AC The bathroom was also roomy and comfortable. Hot water available in the shower. Breakfast is included. A short set of good choices to order. Portions are normal size (not extra large American style). Since the hotel is located within the Manga residential area, there are no views to the ocean. I didn't have time to explore the surrounding area.

Where to start? The staff was the best thing about the hotel. Most spoke a little English and were very friendly and helpful. The bed in the hotel was hard and just horrible to sleep on. The water pressure was very low and the hot water did not get too hot. They served the same breakfast every day and out of the 3 options only the waffles were decent. I say spend more money and get a better hotel and one that is closer to the main city. There is no room service and hard to find places that will deliver to the hotel. When asked the staff for places that delivered they were not that helpful except for this young employee on our last day there. He was really helpful and helped us find delivery. He also spoke the best English out of all the other employees there. Shame he didn't work more days and we could deal with him more. Just not a great hotel and not worth what we paid. We do not recommend it.

Buena estadia nice staff

Friendly staff. Great neighborhood. Safe. 10 minutes from downtown by taxi. Great breakfast. Ingrind at the front desk was great.
