Royal Palm Resort on the Beach

The location is beautiful and the pool are, games room, and gym are quite good for travellers. The kitchen has everything you need, including a full size fridge and microwave. You can live quite self sufficiently there, or walk to nearby cafes.

The beds and pillows are horrible. I've never been so stiff after a holidays stay. This is the one main factor the brings my overall experience down because we just couldn't get a good nights sleep. The blinds are pretty cheap too so they let a lot of light in. It's not too bad if you enjoy waking up with the sun but not ideal for the kids after big holiday days. The other thing is it seems to have a lot of commissioned housing or something similar within the complex. It felt somewhat unsafe at time, like we couldn't leave keys etc unattended at the pool. This is something we had no idea about and although it didn't affect our in room experience, it certainly made it a but uncomfortable around the amenities and in the car park feeling like you had to watch your back and belongings all the time.

Pool is fabulous and we made use of. it. The location is good ,close to cafes etc.The unit was spacious.

The beds were terrible. Mattress was too soft and I ended up sleeping on the couch. There were utensils missing from the kitchen which made life more difficult (e.g. no scissors) No cable TV although the staff were terrific in setting something up for us. They advised that "cable TV " means normal telly...Not Foxtel etc"

Very old apartment, not renovated. Broken toilet seat and shower screen. Bugs in the kitchen. No aircon. Very small car parks

The facilities were terrific and in great condition

The unit we stayed in (23D) was very run down and dirty. The blanket in my sons room was unwashed and filthy with stains on it from the last person to use it. The staff were very friendly and replaced it quite quickly. Unfortunately we were very busy and didn’t have time to deal with reporting the mess due to limited office hours and our long days. Mould in ensuite, dust everywhere, carpet old and in need of replacing. Sub par maintenance work and basically poor quality deep cleaning. Also had cockroach’s. Yes I will report to business now I’m home after a long journey.
