Royal Palm Resort on the Beach

Great location, close to coles and right on the beach. Older complex but well maintained. Loved the visits by the birds.

We were given a room on the 1st floor so our ocean view was very minimal. Although clean, our room, especially the kitchen was infested with little cockoraches. We brought some spray and that certainly helped kill them. Maybe a good idea for the resort to provide this.

Loved the location and the hotel with the pool. Friendly staff, fully self contained. Great for family.

Large easy access to Pool and access just past pool directly onto beach

cleanliness could be better. also several appliances were not working or ceased working whilst we were there. mainly fan remotes and one air conditioner started leaking. also power switched off in one section on last night and following day which included refrigerator and a number of wall electricity plugs.

The common areas were quite nice as they had been re-done. E.g pool, driveway, hallways, reception. Our room had an ocean view and it was amazing.

Our room aged and run down which took away from the experience.

We stayed in apartment 18B after searching for a family friendly complex. There was no air conditioning which meant the doors had to be open to get a sea breeze. Without this it would have been unliveable. Unfortunately there was no fly screen sliding door which meant full access to balcony for our 18 month old. It was unsafe and dangerous with the balcony railings as she could throw anything over the side. We spent our stay on edge when a simple fly screen sliding door would have sold a lot of problems. Certainly not a deluxe 2 bed apartment with broken doors, unclean etc. not sure how this place has 4 stars

Facilities and location are great. Well equipped apartment.

The apartment was disgusting, rubbish in the bathroom, hair on the floor, dirty stained sheets. Mentioned it staff who didn’t care so spent the first couple hours of our holiday cleaning the apartment.
