Chris and Liz were great hosts, very accommodating for our needs. A great mixture for breakfast. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. And the views were very beautiful over looking lake windermere and mountains in the distance from our room. We will definitely be returning to the accommodation again in the future From Jason & Diane

"Restful, Relaxing and Filling from the breakfast x"

Liz and Chris were brilliant hosts Fantastic communication prior to arrival and during stay The location of Slack Cottage is a stones throw away from Lake Windermere. Although hidden away, you have amazing wow !! views of the lake. The cottage has a secret path taking you directly down to the lakeside, an ideal spot for an evening stroll to catch a sunset The cottage has such an interesting history and is full of character, with a comfortable bed, private bathroom and little touches to spoil you during your stay. Breakfast was amazing, delicious and filling, even catering for vegetarians served by our personal waiter Chris 11/10 Do spent an evening in the garden, again hidden making it truly magical - hearing birdsong and sunsets ending a perfect stay. It was a fantastic opportunity and base to explore the Lake District, a magical place to forget about the mundane working week but just to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Thank you Liz and Chris x

We really enjoyed our stay in Slack Cottage, It was so well decorated, everything we needed was available and the view on the lake was amazing. Liz and Chris thank you for being such a welcoming and gracious host. We certainly will come back soon.
