The Hawkley Inn

Tucked away in an AONB but not far from the A3, handy night stop if you're heading for a Portsmouth ferry. Rooms large and comfy, could do with some tlc. Food and beer deservedly popular with locals and visitors alike. Friendly and efficient service.

We booked the Hawkly having visited for drinks in the past as we were wanting to walk the Hanger's Way. It was a perfect half-way stop for us. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who showed us to our room which was very welcoming and comfortable and exceeded our expectations for quality for pub-based accommodation. We had a lovely dinner with very tasty and filling food, and very generous portions too! The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. We were lucky to get the room to the front overlooking the fields which was a perfect way to start the day. Breakfast was personal and again delicious with more food than we could manage! I would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again. It was well worth every penny!

As they say no bistro pub but a proper pub with real ale and excellent food. Superb

We stayed one night and were very pleased with the lovely room. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dinner on arriving late after getting lost. They had reserved us a table. Breakfast was excellent.
