Great place. Very good value and lovely staff.

Staff amazing, and building amazing. Rooms what you expect at the price point but breakfast was the best in a long time.

Rooms were very nicely made up & comfortable. Food was excellent & staff even better. Bit of a gem of a country pub in my opinion, would happily stay again.

Really nice pub, rooms separate away from the pub itself so nice and quiet. Clean, well decorated and comfy. Excellent breakfast too

We loved our dinners on 2 nights, breakfasts were very good also. The decor was interesting & authentic. Parking was very good.

Brilliant location, nice room, small but had everything, great breakfast and friendly staff. The only thing I can think of that wasn’t perfect was the fact I couldn’t seem to turn the outside light off but other than that it was brilliant. Will be back

The coffee was very good… most of the staff were charming but unfortunately some were not! The dinner was ok but a bit rich and fussy, the breakfast disappointing and the staff serving breakfast seemed inconvenienced by us showing up on time! The rooms in converted stables were cozy though the bed sank in the middle. Be warned they use a booking system EVIIVO that takes out the room fee a few days before arrival and puts it in pending in your account. It then stays in pending for several days after you’ve settled your bill which basically means you pay twice for your room for at over a week! I phoned The Crown and asked for the pending payment to be removed and was told it takes between 3 to 5 working days which frankly is a scam!
