I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff so helpful and polite. It seemed to me that nothing was too much trouble. That staff friendliness was so important to me and made my stay so good

Bedroom stank of bleach … upon investigation this wasn’t coming from bathroom …hideous Safety light above door to room shone so green all night as to thwart decent sleep One of pair of bedside lamps was broken (lampshade propped unconvingsing on top of lamp base) Towel rail in bathroom corroded and rusty

Lovely room, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Overall great value, especially as room rate included breakfast. We’d stay here again if we are in the area

Lovely big spacious room. Good shower good service. I found the bed a little soft but still slept well

The design of the room and the decor of the whole place is lovely. The amenities are great especially the fudge with good selection of tea and coffee in the room. There were stains in the bathroom and shower which can be resolved by renovation or renewing some of the interiors. Breakfast was nice.

A number of problems before we even got there, they had us booked in for the wrong date and down with the wrong address. Room very disappointing, over-rated in reviews and not worth the cost

Found about a dozen short curly dark hair in the sheets. Can’t turn on the lights in the bathroom without turning on the lights in the bedroom which is a real problem if someone else is sleeping. Porch light is too bright inside the too and there is no way to shut it off. Door lock has to be jimmied to get open; took servers minutes each time to unlock the door...
