Forfærdentlige parkeringsforhold men ellers rigtig godt

La douche était très petite la tête de douche totalement encrassée ne laissait passer qu'un filet d'eau, si vous voulez fermer la porte des wc vous ne pouvez pas vous asseoir dessus... le lit était branlant, à vos risques et périls si vous souhaitez vous amuser... on entendait les voisins s'échauffer... la vue du "balcon" euh comment dire ni sur le jardin ni sur la route mais sur une cour qui faisait office de dépotoir. Et le point final, les langues soit disant parlés de notre hôtesse (charmante au passage) eh bien vous pouvez vous asseoir dessus ... ni anglais ni français. Nous nous sommes compris avec du franglitalien enfin un mélange de tout avec les mains et les pieds... bref nous ne sommes pas difficiles mais tout mis bout à bout ce n'était vraiment pas top.

The location is excellent. In a nice and of the beaten path neighborhood on just few minutes walk from historical center. They don't have their own parking (thought booking says they have) but in the neighborhood parking is free. You need to be lucky with finding a free spot though and traffic is hectic. The apartment is very nice. It's a split level, sleeping area upstairs. We only missed a balcony. Wifi works only in the public area. A pity signal is not strong enough to have reception in the rooms. We only paid 50e per night ex breakfast which we think is very good value for money.

Compte tenu de l'emplacement de l'hôtel, nous avons pu visiter la ville à pied et apprécié son patrimoine, son ambiance et sa bonne cuisine à des prix raisonnables !

Was difficult to check in, since I arrived after 6pm and they didn’t send me code for the master lock outside. I had to ask a stranger to call them since they only spoke Italian and her assistant with very bad English was not available. There was no hot water in the room (something happened to the boiler), so I had to wait for the assistant in the morning next day to change rooms (to their credit the fee was complementary to compensate for the inconvenience). Be prepared to drag your luggage via narrow stairs onto 5th floor. The location was OK, near puppet museum and Chiaramonti castle (which I both recommend) but far from city center.

Aan de rand van het oude centrum, met de gratis centrum shuttle bus om de hoek, vlakbij de haven en rustig gelegen. Appartementen op de derde etage zijn ruim en schoon. Goede prijs-kwaliteits verhouding.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were exceptionally friendly and obliging, any questions or problems were resolved quickly and the accomodation represents exceptional value for money. Our room was spacious airy and modern.

If you are looking for an affordable place to stay in the heart of Palermo Jardin de France is a good choice. Rooms aren't special but ok. Considering the low price you pay it is certainly a good deal, especially because the B&B is in a very central spot. In the pictures the breakfast terrace looks very nice but in reality in summer it is impossible to sit there as the sun really hits it very hard. In addition, several room airco's have their outlet on the terrace. Breakfast is ok.

We were checking in around 8pm, and even though regular check in is until 6pm, a staff member was kind enough to wait for us, help us get our bags upstairs and tell us all we needed to know about Palermo, including the main sights, recommended places to eat, etc. Our room was big enough, overlooked a quiet street and had all we needed for the stay. Breakfast was served on a terrace by a very kind and friendly breakfast lady and was very good - a buffet that included several types if fresh hot pastry, cheese, ham, fruit, juices, yogurt, all you need really, plus the coffee of your choice (that capuccino was beyond amazing!). Location of the B&B is very convenient for tourists - just off Piazza Marina with many good restaurants and bars (keep in mind that most restaurants do not open for dinner until 7.30 or 8pm), minutes from the Port of Palermo, about 10 minutes on foot to Via Roma where you can catch a bus if you want to go to Mondello beaches. One issue that made our stay less than perfect was that, although there was supposed to be wi-fi, we were unable to get online for the first four days at all and got only sketchy connection the other two - a massive problem if you are a tourist and rely on having wi-fi for looking up sights and directions! We couldn't bring the issue up with staff as the only staff member we saw after checking in was the breakfast lady who didn't speak English. Also keep in mind that the B&B is on the fourth floor accessed by narrow winding stairs. Might not be suitable for those with bulky bags.
