The Tudor Arms Hotel Cleveland - a DoubleTree by Hilton

Not only did the A/C not work our room was not ready by 4. Oh and still paid $215 to sweat for the night. I would never book a room there again.

location is good, all else are bad

As a Hilton Diamond member whom has stayed in hundreds of hotels across the USA, I have never encountered a staff that was ruder nor less helpful than we experienced in Cleveland. It was honestly shocking considering the Hilton name is one that is trusted and held to a standard. The desk staff was beyond rude, answered questions with extremely short and unhelpful answers and seemed not too care much about any of the other guests checking in. The rooms were dirty - our bathroom door didn't even close, there was a bump across our floor that people multiple times almost tripped over. Its a good thing we spent very little time in the hotel because we likely would have requested to move elsewhere. All this for $300 a night! If you are heading to Cleveland you should take this one off your list.

I liked the location as it was within 15 minutes from the event we were visiting.

The air conditioner was not working in many of the guest rooms and common areas. Our room did not have air conditioning and it was 90 degrees or so outside. Also we could not check into our hotel room at 4 and were told many times by staff they were not sure when we would be able to and kept asking if we wanted to cancel. We were not going to be able to cancel regardless because we live 4 hours south in Cincinnati and there were no other hotels rooms available in the area because of the Morgan Wallen concert and other events going on in the downtown area.

When we first checked in to the hotel our room AC was not working. The staff at the front desk was able to switch us to a new room and said “if that AC isn’t working we can provide you a box fan”. When we got to our new room, the AC again was not working. They claimed they would have maintenance come to check on it (which they never did as I placed a card on top of the thermostat and it was never moved). When I say the room was warmer than it was outside it was not an exaggeration. It was unbearable. Turns out ALL the rooms in the hotel were without AC. The hotel claimed they phoned everyone the day before the stay to offer free cancellation but I was never phoned. Plus all hotels in Cleveland were booked due to a number of events, so we were unable to book anywhere else. This was the most miserable hotel experience I’ve ever had. It was nearly impossible to sleep as the room temp was so hot. Staff at the front was rude and unwilling to help or provide any information. I would never recommend this hotel.

Very convenient location, and it was very clean. Beds were comfy.

Did not love the price, I understand it's in UC and a lot of visitors come through while in Cleveland, but don't feel like the price reflects what you can get in comparison to other hotels.

Unique atmosphere and within walking distance of everything we needed for our stay

Very dirty bathroom and room, bedding was very dirty and struggled to get housekeeping to change the bed. Did not get offered a new room.
