Ricos Bungalows Kata

Myself and my familyall enjoyed this small resort and its fantastic location at Kata Beach. The bathrooms are very ordinary and flood when you have a shower. squigee provided but you have to crouch down to use it, a long handle would help. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets and cleaning staff were lovely. It's an older resort and the facilities reflect that but no complaints here when you factor in the price and location. We would stay again and recommend it to others if you're after good budget accommodation. Again, fantastic location.

Let's see.... A half dozen bird size cockroaches in the bathroom at check in. Bug spray and a flashlight on the counter so they are aware of the situation. I guess you are expected to arm yourself to pee. Plus the AC barely worked. No. I didn't spend an hour here despite pre paying. Total loss as I moved down the road to a decent place. Wouldn't wish this place on anybody.

At check-in after flying all day we were told by the front desk that they didn't have our reservation. Thank god they had a extra room available. The room needed our cleaning as we found dead insects in the bathroom. By day 3 there was a extreme sewer smell coming from our bathroom. We actually checked out a few days early to stay at a nicer hotel on the beach. No refund for unused days was provided.

Good location great staff clean rooms.Small older style no frills resort.Had a late flight home staff stored our bags and provided towels to have a shower before leaving for airport.

We arrived at 7 in the morning, the hotel staff was friendly and checked in our luggage and told us where to get delicious breakfast, she also gave us towels to use the pool and facilities with while we wait for our room to be ready. The room was cleaned everyday. Free bottles of water was replaced each day, which we were very thankful for. Bed was large and comfortable, bungalows has great working air-con that cooled the room quickly.

The hotel is close to restaurants and bars, and most importantly, walking distance to Kata beach. The pool is well kept and convenient. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are well appointed. The only issues are mosquitos in the room, probably because the rooms are so close to the pool, and noise from the bars behind the hotel.

Staff was wonderful...however room left more to be wanted. Very dirty, old, bug infested.

Cozy, not very modern, simple bathroom, but very convenient location and pleasant garden and swimming pool. Plus clean, good bed.

Stayed here many times and will return again as great staff always willing to help. Clean rooms and nice pool.
