Sun Grove Villas & Spa

It was an easy location - we had a private pool and it's only a 20 minute walk to the front. Liked that it was residential so fairly private and could park the car on the driveway. The apartment had all the amenities we needed, including bathrooms, a blue tooth speaker, a Wii and whilst we didn't use it we had access to use the spa and gym facilities at the local hotel.

I felt that it was a bit worn in places and could have done with more of a mop in the bathroom. When I moved the bin, there was a layer of dust. Also, while we were only there a week, no one came in to change the towels, but I wasn't sure if I was supposed to leave them in the towel bin - that wasn't clear. It would have been nice to have a little more information on how we needed to leave the apartment when we checked out - we tried to leave it as we found it, but I wasn't sure what to do with the rubbish.

Nothing. Some might not like the 15 minute walk to the resort but we thought it was ideal

The property was very spacious. Well laid out, clean and modern. The outside space is good. Pool is small but enough for a plunge if the weather is hot.

There is not enough light in the 2nd bedroom (front). Literally only a dim light over the bed, no ceiling lights. So it was impossible to get dressed in there. Location was a little bit too far out of town for us. Manly because my elderly father. This would not have been a problem as we intended to get taxis but they were (are are notoriously) poor. Very inconsistent and made us late a few times for dinner. If I had kids I think this would be a good option due to the association with the hotel across the road. The complex is vast with many pools. Kids would love it!

The villa was very comfortable and had everything you could need including plenty of towels. The location was good being only a few minutes drive into the centre of Playa Blanca with a choice of 3 lovely beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants. Free access to the spa was an added bonus which we would recommend.

We had to leave!

Villa was well equipped with all the basic essentials. Pool area was lovely.

Stayed as a family of 5 when we arrived we only had 3 beds (2 single one double ) extra bed was only brought to us on the second night of our stay after sending several messages. ANTS 🐜 in the kitchen I'm not talking a few I'm talking a few hundred. Day of check-out we had a late flight home refused late check out and no where to store our luggage not even one recommendation as to where we could store it.. really bad customer service. Payed to have the pool heated it was definitely not heated by any means. No maid service for the entire week of our stay.

Peace and quiet. Very private house. Well equipped with everything you need. We appreciated having the bath as well as a shower.

For a couple of days, the swimming pool motor was running too hard and it made a lot of noise. We mentioned it to a man who came to do a routine check, and he put it on timed or reduced the speed somehow. This was great, but it was noisy while it lasted.

The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. Information book containing information on how to use all the equipment was very detailed. The host supplied a bottle of water and a bottle of wine on arrival 😁
