Booked a "deluxe Tipee". The picture on the add showed an odd shaped cabin and said self rated 4 star. Turned out to be an actual Ti-pee on a wooden floor. (not what was in the picture i saw) Shared pit toilet, and water that might need to be boiled before drinking. Even though it is summer, i froze. it had a wood heater but because it is a canvas tent it leaked heat and never warmed up. It was dirty, thanks to the "self clean" policy where the previous guests clean it for you. The sofa bed looked like it came from an op shop. The access track is unsafe for front wheel drive cars and my hire car really struggled to get up there. I'd have been far more comfortable in my own tent somewhere else.
Cabin very clean and well kept. Nice to be away from screens and experience nature up close. Be aware of the steep road in!
I liked the eco-green concept. A bit pricey given use of renewable resources.
The experience was lovely, it was nice to have your own privacy and space in the bush to come and go as you please. Having a communal kitchen is a lovely way to meet with other travellers and swap stories. It was also nice to wake up to animals around in the bush and birds calling. Lovely walks about and just a great way to get way from the hustle and bustle of our home town Melbourne. We will defiantly come back again and are inspired to give the camping grounds a at some stage.
Did not stay there initially could not find it then were expected to drive 4km along a narrow dirt road in the rain then drive up a steep dirt driveway. Went to wrest point instead had a lovely room with great views of the harbour
