Duyong Marina & Resort

It previously known for its venue hosting Terengganu Monsoon Cup. The resort ambience was nice, with lush greenery and built mainly using wood. The buggy driver are also helpful and friendly, and can be reached anytime (not sure after midnight). There are also restaurant nearby with affordable price and serve good food, facing the marina and Terengganu river. However, some of the condition inside the room and bathroom are poorly maintained and aircond unit was leaking inside our room.

my room had ants everywhere. toilet was dirty with poor flow from shower head. towel had stains. at night i could not sleep due to a machine noise coming next to my 2602 unit. receptionists were not friendly, not welcoming and was not wearing mask. however, good view from lobby, friendly buggy staffs, good bfast n fast internet. but definitely not coming back and not recommended.

We stayed (thankfully) for just 1 night at this hotel. The reception staff are not very welcoming and not very apologetic considering that one of our rooms was not yet ready to occupy even though it was later than the 1500hrs check in time. The resort is tired, the rooms are dirty and overall the resort is maintained to a sub-standard and poor cleanliness. Breakfast was terrible - Avoid avoid avoid

Where to start... No “welcome” or “how was your stay” or..anything from the miserable & unfriendly Malay staff. The room was horrible: dark wood decor that showed up all of the dust & accumulated filth everywhere- the room simply wasn’t clean. During a MCO that is worrying as well as unacceptable. The bedding was clean; but the towel (you only get one) was stained. The bathroom itself was horrific: dirty toilet, bath, shower & sinks. The AC unit worked but was broken, leaked water all night & was noisy. But not noisy enough to drown out the noise of the 0530h call to prayer, being played thru fake boulders/speakers outside my villa. The gym was old but most of the equipment worked. The gym carpet however was smelly & disgusting - it needs to be removed & tiled for hygiene reasons. The pool is fine. The breakfast was utter rubbish. I selected the fruit option - it was watermelon; nothing else. My colleague ordered eggs: they were clap cold. So in sum this is a dreadful rancid hole of a ‘resort’. One which is tailored to the locals’ tastes; but one which is unsuitable for travellers/tourists.

Over rated! Not maintained!

stayed for 2 nights, requested 2 single beds for 2 pax, the resort only provided one set of amenities, one pillow, the toilet extremely dirty n disgusting. no room cleaning during the stay. only one bath towel each person provided. bulb fuse in the shower room. the bathtub so dirty, can’t use it. the blanket got blood stain. the coffee cup so dirty with stain. the toilet door was broken, the toilet sit also broken. basically not comfortable at all. the staff make a noise outside the room, chit chatting among them without consider of the guest.

The interior is not well maintained. Furniture is OLD. Lighting is soo good...

We stayed 2 nights at the resort, it was low season so not many other guests for a rather large looking resort. The hotel staff were friendly but many didn’t speak English and not accustomed to servicing international travellers. The room was ok but bathroom was really rundown and not very clean. The overall resort is old and could use a refresh.

Generally good but not really satisfy with the condition of the bath room.look old and rusty at certain part of the sink.
