Violeta Hvar

Loved the patio and view. Room was comfortable and well-appointed. Convenient location and climb up/down to old town wasn't bad at all.

The location was good for us because we like to walk. It is an easy walk from the harbor, maybe 10 minutes. The rooms were very clean. We were lucky and got a parking space too.

Our room was spacious and very clean with a good sized fridge, kettle with complimentary coffee and tea. We were made very welcome and given great advice about Hvar. There were two ways to walk to town one down the winding road, or down a life in a nearby hotel. We were given a large piece of homemade cake and a long cold drink when returning from a long day out, much appreciated. This hotel has fantastic views and personal balcony. We would certainly stay again.

This hotel was okay on all fronts, that doesn’t mean to say it was bad At all but everything was just average. If you are looking for a place to stay that is relatively cheap in a good location I would recommend. Be warned how’re the balcony with sea view which we paid for was pretty much not existent!

Our host was just lovely and very helpful giving us local insight. Reach out to ask for help with transfers from the port too (much cheaper than a taxi!). The rooms are lovely with a magnificent view of the town and water and is a very easy walk into town. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

A lot of research was done before booking Violeta Hvar and it proved to be a very worthwhile thing to do. Getting the only negative out of the way early, access to the unit from the town centre is hilly with stairs involved. It was only a problem when I forgot something and had to return to the unit. There are plenty of positives - a spacious, spotlessly clean unit owned and operated by a lovely family. Our ground floor unit did have a view however it was not as brilliant as the first floor units. The unit is fully self contained, with a local supermarket a five minute stroll down the road. A couple of extra nice touches worth mentioning - firstly, beach towels were offered and gratefully accepted and, secondly, one of the family members gave my wife four delicious slices of a Croatian dessert just because. And they were scrumptious!

Good location... Just a 5 minute walk from the pubs and the old town or the hula hula beach/pub and public beaches... Misses viloetta is very kind and she gave us towels for the beach. U can even rent scooters at the property

Lovely hostesses. The hostess came to the dock to greet us. It was well worth the 10 euros, of the time she spent picking us up. Our catamaran from Dubrovnik was an hour late. We would have to haul our luggage up the hill, getting lost at the same time, while it was getting dark into the evening. She held our luggage for us after checking out, and delivered the luggage to us near the bus stop. Her mother-in-law helped is with the kitchen. The apartment was very spacious, new, and charming. We only had a little of the ocean view. We were not able to book the sea view unit. Check out, unfortunately for us, was 10am.

Very clean, comfortable, great views of the sea, a ten minute walk up the hill from the harbour, very helpful staff.
