Violeta Hvar

Nice hotel with great view.Good location with a few steps to go.Staffs friendly.

The apartment was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and well maintained (although it could use some additional utensils like a bread knife and cork screw). A perfect place to make some home cooked meals and sit on the wonderful, peaceful terrace and enjoy a break after all the restaurant food and activities of Dubrovnik and Korcula and watch the moon rise over the city. The unit is quite close to the harbour and all it’s activity and nightlife but as with many locations along the Croatian coast, the walk to the unit is uphill and at times exhausting but worth it. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Our upper unit have a great balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and the city.

Our room was at the back on the ground floor. It had a small patio with table and chairs. While it did not have the view of the upper rooms, it did not have the afternoon sun beating down on it. The room and bathroom were very clean and modern. The family is very friendly and helpful.

We were pleasanty surprised. Modern, nice, clean nice deck over looking the area. A short walk to the most wonderful city of HVAR. We loved it!!

A good location with a hilly walk but not too bad. Beautiful views on walk into the town. Was advertised as 'all rooms include a living area' however our room didn't, just a fridge, kettle and cups and plates. Was an outside terrace which was useful with drying line. Would be nice to have some area to prepare food and a 'living area'. It felt more like a hotel room rather than apartment. Hosts were friendly enoigh when we arrived and gave us a cold bottle of water on arrival. Pity that they couldn't offer a lift up the hill. Instead we were offered a taxi lift for £15. Overall a comfortable room but should be advertised more accurately.

We were on Hvar for only two days and Violeta Hvar served our purposes very nicely for our solitary night. Check in was easy (have Kuna for payment), the room was big located on the ground level with a huge patio with views of the Adriatic. The bed was extremely comfortable. We arrived by ferry, leaving our car parked back in Split. It was a 10 minute walk up to the hotel. We had easy walking access to the fortress, as well as the beach and Hvar Town itself. Would definitely stay here again for a longer stay.

This was a clean hotel with lovely views a short walk away from the centre (though feels longer when carrying heavy bags). We had a lovely room with a great balcony. My biggest problem with this room, however, was that the air conditioning did not stay on which made it far too hot on a nighttime. To be fair we did not complain about this to the hotel as we were only staying a short time so we did not give them the chance to rectify this.

I would highly recommend the Violeta, our room had a separate kitchen/ dining area which was great for preparing breakfast and snacks. We loved sitting out on the balcony relaxing and enjoying the view. It is a steep walk up from the centre of town but so is the majority of accommodation.

Violeta was great! Very nice and comfortable and clean. Host was very friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and close to Amfora hotel which has a lovely pool. If you ask the pool manager nicely they will let you in to swim for 100 Kuna if you get there fairly early in the morning (9 or 10). It is also close to a grocery store which is handy. The walk up the hill to Violeta from the village is just 10 mins but importantly, the location up the hill meant it was nice and quiet - away from all the partying.
