the place is great with a nice balcony. would recommend u arrange for a car transfer from the port if you have large sized luggage (stairs!)

We stayed at the very expensive Adriana Hotel for two nights and decided to extend our stay. Found Violeta for a fraction of the cost and were so happily surprised to see that the hotel was just as convenient to the town, with sweeping views of the port and castle, and extremely friendly staff. The rooms and terraces were pristine, offering all the comfort of a 4 or 5 star hotel. But the friendly staff is what made this such a fantastic experience. It is a family-run hotel and they treat you like a guest in their own home. I even asked where I could get a haircut, and one of the family members came out with scissors ready to do it herself!! Don't pay a lot of money for the 5 star hotels, you will get everything you need here - prime location, beautiful rooms and views, and much better service!

The family who ran this hotel were fantastic. Room cleaned every day. Lovely place in between beach & town. My partner lost her iPhone and they couldn't do enough to help get it back. We found it in another town and they drove out to pick it up for us. On leaving to catch the ferry the phone was left charging in room and the lady about 60+ ran all the way down the hill to the port to give us back phone. I can't put enough praise for this hotel and family. They were brilliant and a delightful people. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

This apartment seems to be a new building with a nice balcony and spacious room. The location is a 10 min walk from the main port as most apartments in Hvar. The room itself was quite modern and spacious. The balcony is quite large and the view overlooking the ocean and Hvar is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel. The free wifi is also fast.

The family-run Violeta Hvar lies on a quiet road in the hills overlooking Hvar town, but is only a few minutes walk from the main square with its many bars and restaurants. However this distance is enough to mask the noise from the town centre, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The local supermarket and public beaches are also only a short stroll away. While we didn't bother with a car, the apartment does offer free parking for those guests who do. We had booked a one-bedroom apartment and found it a good size for two to three people, with plenty of storage space provided. Layout is fairly standard, with the bathroom by the entrance and the large bedroom area opening onto a kitchen-diner and then a large terrace/baclony providing views over the town. The bathroom is shower only, but has its own water heater providing unlimited hot water. The apartment was kept very clean and daily room service was provided during our stay to replace towels, empty bins, etc. During our stay we mainly dealt with Urska and her husband Tonci, who couldn't have done more for us. As well as the apartments, the family run a tour company, Amazing Hvar, and also offer car, scooter and bike rentals, etc., all of which the family are happy to organise for you. They helped us arrange a day trip to Stari Grad on the North coast and we also went on an excellent wine tour around the island organised through their company. We would definitely stay again if we get a chance!

Hvar town is buzzing and noisy until 5am so it was lovely to stay somewhere peaceful. Very comfortable bed. Amazing sea views. A ten minute walk to the town centre.

Amazing time at Violeta Hvar. This family owned apartments provided great customer service. The view from the balcony is amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Hvar is one of our favorite islands in all of Croatia. Urska was able to answer all our questions. Small con: Wifi could be a bit quicker. Overall, amazing experience for our stay.
