Cebu Grand Hotel Vibo Place Capitol

The hotel is newly renovated, so it was a pleasant surprise when I checked in. The hotel is conveniently located, near shopping centers. There is also an arcade with several good restaurants just across the hotel. I will stay in this hotel whenever I travel to Cebu for business.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and agreed it's a hotel with good value for money. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Room was large and comfortable. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was a large buffet. Room smelled a bit old but I was used to it after 5 min. Some tiny ants were living in the bathroom floor cracks and wandered everywhere but did not bother me. Starbucks mall next door was convenient for good restaurants.

This hotel was absolutely the best. Everything was perfect. The staff from the reception area to security to housekeeping to the restaruant staff was beyond great. I cannot say enough about the people that work there. They say free breakfast. That is an understatement, they put on a breakfast that is incredible. 5-6 unique choices for entrees, custom cooking if you did not find what you want, salads, drinks, and wonderful deserts, every day. I will be going back next month and will stay there again

Negatives: Run down hotel lacking proper maintenance and cleaning. Dirty room with ants on bed. Staffs are slow and unresponsive. Positives: Convenient location. Near to restaurants and starbucks.

Rooms are over priced for foreigners, we walked around with a local and the price per room was half the mount charged including adding a guest was less than half.. this hotel wants to act like a high end class hotel but it need lots of work.. the Pool is a child size pool and it closes at 5 pm. i wasn't impressed with this hotel. so will book at a close y hotel on my next trip in march. one more thing i did not like about it. if you have a family member or a friend visiting you, they will have to leave by 10 pm or they will be kicked out or you will be charged 1,000 pesos for the person per night if they don't leave by 10 pm.. after you get over charged for an over rated room they still rack up the bill in any way they can. also with breakfast it was 350.00 PHP for a small breakfast. over priced compared to others at 130 PHP
