Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

My stay at Sunscape Dorado Pacífica was absolutely unforgettable, and the biggest reason for that was the entertainment team. From the moment we arrived, Ivan and Luis were such great additions—friendly faces who instantly made every activity more fun. Jhovanny was always smiling and cracking us up, bringing so much joy to every moment. Naydelli was incredibly sweet and kind, and Magela’s endless energy kept the games lively and exciting. And then there’s Angel, whose diva-level dancing could brighten anyone’s day. He truly brought joy to our eyes every single performance. Of course, I can’t forget Victor, who leads the team with so much humor and charisma. He had us laughing constantly. Honestly, my favorite part of the entire stay was spending time with the entertainment team. And let’s be real—after all those activities and competitions, we all know who the real winner was (yes… me). Next up, the food and drinks team was amazing. The cooking classes were such a fun and unique touch, and I loved the variety of food options throughout the resort. The soft serve machine became a daily stop for us! Every bartender was so welcoming, especially both Victors, who not only made fantastic drinks but also took the time to learn our names, making us feel like part of the family. There was also a bartender named Ivan at the pool bar who stood out—he mixed some of the best drinks and always took a moment to chat with us. And let’s not forget the snack machine, which became our go-to spot for fries at any time of day. The cleaning team also deserves a huge thank-you. Coming back to a fresh room each day was such a treat, especially when they left chocolates—little details that made the stay even more special. The spa was incredibly relaxing and such a peaceful escape. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy some quiet time. Finally, the staff in general—every person at the front desk or walking around the hotel—was warm, welcoming, and always happy to say hi. They even put up with the chaos of our very competitive Jenga games! Thanksgiving week is always a time for me to reconnect with friends, shake off stress, and just enjoy life. This hotel helped us do exactly that. We had the most fun, laughed endlessly, and made memories that will stay with us. Thank you, Sunscape Dorado Pacífica. I truly enjoyed my stay, and I hope to see all the wonderful staff again someday.

Izahorhi served the best cappuccinos and mocachinos and was the bright part of our morning. Truly an exceptional employee.

The location of the resort is awesome however that is the only thing this resort has going for it. The resort itself needs to be be updated and cleaned. The pool was usually dirty and a lot of the common areas were dirty as well. With stained cushions ect. The food definitely lacked luster or variety. The food options were really low quality. They advertise an adults only restaurant but each time we went there were kids. The buffet was very limited. I have never seen that few choices in a buffet in all my travels. We booked the Sun Club Oceanview Deluxe Room and that was a joke. It was a partial Oceanview at best over looking the kids splash zone. The beds are small. 2 doubles so if you are bigger or taller this could pose a big issue. Besides the lounge with premium drinks there was nothing worth the upgrade. We actually paid to upgrade again just to have a decent room with a decent view. We couldn’t have stayed for a week crammed into the original room we were given. They wouldn’t accommodate a change unless we paid. As for amenities at this resort I really can’t comment. The pool area was not very clean. The chairs were limited. We even ran into times where we couldn’t get a towel. Ixtapa is beautiful and I cannot wait to rerun. We have been here 4 times already. We just won’t ever go back to the Sunscape.

Loved this resort! The hotel was clean, bright and well maintained. The food was tasty and all restaurants were accommodating to my daughter (9) who has celiac disease (gluten allergy). There were even enough options for my son (13) who is less than adventurous at meal time. Service was great on all levels, and had so much fun with the entertainment group who was out doing daily activities at the pool area and beach, such as zumba, aerobics, volleyball and water polo. Special shout out to Nai & Angel of the entertainment group who are super fun and engaging! I'd totally recommend this resort.

We were at the Sunscape Resort, Ixtapa Mexico! Best service, our waitress Aylin was sensational! She went over and above to cater to us, as one of our party had allergies to onions! The whole crew was great! Definitely would recommend this resort and servers we had!

Dear fellow traveller’s, I returned to revisit Ixtapa and stayed at Sunscape & The Thompson this trip . I frequently stay at Secrets , Hyatt and the Excellence Collection & a few other brands and this was my first time visiting Sunscape. I was pleasantly surprised by Sunscape in all areas with a few minor details. The Staff are the Stars of the resort with their dedication to providing Exceptional Hospitality! The Chief Concierge Christofer Delgado was Impressive and professional and one of the key reasons in making this a Fantastic resort to revisit! I see a Very Bright Future in the Hospitality industry and expect Christofer will be a General Manager soon for whatever brand he chooses! Christofer’s Concierge Team is Excellent and they all were Amazing and True representatives of Genuine Mexican Hospitality! My Oceanfront Suites and Presidential Suite were spotless and well appointed and I Loved the Gorgeous views! Many thanks to the Housekeeper Team and especially Florencia for their great attention to caring for us guests!⭐️💕⭐️ All the Bartenders are Fantastic especially Thomas and the other Bartenders in the Sun Club 🥂❤️🥂Lounge . Tasty snacks and the ceviche was delicious!🧑🏻‍🍳 The beach club was a top notch choice for breakfast and lunch and the Service was Fabulous by all the Wait Staff and Anna was Amazing !!!💕 I enjoyed my meals at Bluewater Grill and the Staff were great! Dinners at Da Mario were always good and the Service was Excellent! The Lasagna was delicious!🧑🏻‍🍳 Coca Cafe was great for goodies and Lattes!🍰 Tamarindo was unfortunately closed so I missed out on my Favourite Mexican delicacies. I see it is still closed and that’s disappointing 😭 Windows had a nice assortment of foods and I hope to see a little more care in foods being covered and properly handled.🧑🏻‍🍳 All the Sunscape Team members are the Stars of the resort and the Bellmen are Fantastic and super nice and welcoming!!!! I am returning in a few days and looking forward to seeing Everyone!!! Perfect weather and Exceptional Staff keeps Sunscape a top notch choice to revisit and I have highly recommended your hotel to my friends and colleagues & everyone has spoken very highly of their experiences! Ignacio was great! He really livened up our dinners and made us some flaming bananas foster. Made this entire trip worth it. As far as the hotel, the themed nights were the best I've experienced in the hotel area. Food was great and offered VEGAN options!!! I was so excited about that. Kitchen managers came by to check on us a couple of times throughout our stay so that was a nice touch. We appreciated the attention on top of everything that was already so great and detailed. I'd come here again!
