Paradise Bay Resort

We loved our stay at this resort. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever had in a hotel. The coffee and banana bread were delicious and we got to enjoy them sitting on a deck that looked out at the pali and a river. We weren’t able to get kayak or sup time, but we did sign up for the Hanauama Bay snorkeling tour that worked out of the hotel, and that was absolutely a highlight of the whole vacation! I highly recommend staying here. Also, they have roosters which did not wake us up at all, because we couldn’t hear them over our phone’s white noise app.

Extraordinarily comfortable beds!

Your activity bookings website was messy and confusing. It was much easier to speak directly with front desk instead of messing around with the website which was a mess!

While the location offers beautiful views and a quiet, secluded atmosphere away from downtown Honolulu, our overall experience was mixed. The scenery is definitely a highlight — the bay and mountain views are stunning, and the area feels calm and uncrowded. There are also some nice amenities like the pool, hot tub, and occasional activities.

However, there are quite a few downsides that impacted our stay. The property is very far from most attractions, making it inconvenient if you plan to explore the island. The rooms and bathrooms feel outdated and could use significant improvement in both maintenance and cleanliness. Noise was also an issue — we could clearly hear neighbors and sounds from above, which made it less relaxing than expected. Parking is limited and need to pay for it. Overall, the place doesn’t fully match the expectations set by the price and photos. In summary, this could be a good option if you prioritize views and seclusion, but there are better choices if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a more modern stay.

Amenities absent in our room -hairdryer, etc. No access to supplies nearby (drinks, etc). No beach access or place to walk nearby. Over-priced.

Super little resort with stunning views of the mountain ranges and rainforest. Lots of bird life and very peaceful. Get a waterside cottage if you can for those amazing views from a private deck. Excellent customer service, always responded to my messages almost immediately.

Great size cottage, very clean, but it was rather dated. The interiors could do with some updating. But that didn't spoil our enjoyment of this lovely resort.
