Royal Hotel

Constant loud construction from inside the hotel - morning until 5pm. Desperately needed a nap- very weary from travel- couldn't get one. Staff was very friendly however, once I'm in my room and trying to nap, what does that matter. Conditions clean. Good location.

Simple/older hotel with excellent service. Felt safe and price was great.

Room was spacious and clean, however dated. Bedsheets seemed old and were ripped. Person on reception was rude when enquiring regarding transportation to bus station.

We had a great couple nights in Battanbang and the staff at Royal Hotel really planned everything for us. We did Bamboo Train, the circus, the bats at sunset, the killing cave and the ruins, all really great.

A very good deal. Location convenient to attractions, comfortable room, and good service. Be warned that there is no elevator and the hotel restaurant is on the roof, which is five flights up. Found the quality and service of the restaurant to be adequate at best, but there are plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

The hotel is very close to the bus depot and the center of the town. Food including breakfast was good and cost effective. The spa/pool on the top floor was nice to cool down. The hotel arranged a tuk tuk driver for us to get to the bamboo train and bats on the evening we arrived and the next day to the circus show. Was able to pay all extras costs using visa + 3% fee.

The hotel could use some updating but otherwise it offered a clean and comfortable room in a good location. The rooftop bar is a great feature and there are plenty of good restaurants near by. Above all, it was the manager's helpfulness and kindness that I will remember.

Good budget hotel in central location. Room fairly large, noisy aircon but also had a fan. Cleaned every day but the bathroom wasn't as the drain was full of hair. Great view from the rooftop terrace & of course the jacuzzi was fab! Hired the hotel tuk tuk driver for a day of sightseeing and he was so lovely. Helpful advice.....if arriving on Mekong Express bus, it is literally a 2 minute walk from their office. The tuk tuk drivers wait for the bus to arrive & are at your window as you pull in, they are relentless & when we refused their offer to drive us said the hotel was closed but could take us to a 'better' one.......just smile & walk away.

This is an average hotel, simple and clean and seems to cater to the backpackers and other budget travelers. But the AC worked and so did the shower so we were happy. There isn't an elevator which might be an issue for some.

Very clean, spacoius room with air con. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great roof terrace for relaxing. Right beside the market and the river. Would definetly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
