Royal Hotel

We stayed here for a couple days on our way to Phnom Penh. The hotel was a bit dated but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is in a good location both close to the river and market. The hotel staff was helpful for booking a motorbike for myself and my travel partner (only recommended if you have riding experience) and our ongoing transport to Phnom Penh. The manager of the hotel even gave us each a scarf as a gift for staying with them. I would stay here again

My stay was made exceptionally memmorable because of the staff. There are many hotels with friendly and helpful staff and there are those who are exceptional because of one or two people who exemplify the top tiers of international hostelry. Mr Sokun made my stay exceptional and personally escorted me on a custom tour of the surrounding area on motorbike. The rooms are rather large, clean and with good a/c. There was no hot water the second night and the hotel's four floors lack an elevator so plan to travel light. The restaurant is good formtheir simple, but adequate breakfast. I would not recommend any other meal there. Great location one block west of the central market.

I only stayed one night in Battambang, The staffs there are really friendly. We were provided with quality service, comfy bed, spacious room and the breakfast provided taste really good too! It had definitely exceed what you had paid for. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel was in a great, central location. It was a bit old and shabby but very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. 'Luxury toiletries' was a bar of soap! Restaurant upstairs offered good food and great coffee at reasonable prices. If you want a no-frills, clean place to sleep this ticks the boxes.

Stayed 2 nights, the hotel was ideal for our needs. The rooms are large and clean with a/con, fan, fridge and Tv. The shower was a wet room. The staff were very pleasant and helpful in arranging our ongoing travel. Breakfast offers basic omelettes, pancakes etc. the hotel is centrally situated close to the market and restaurants. We spent a day with one of the Tuk-Tuk drivers Mr. Rich who speaks English, not pushy at all, he took us to only the sights we requested. Overall we were very happy with our stay here, great value for money.

Hotel is located near market, restaurants and ATM. I only stayed overnight. Staff are friendly although at the time of checkout, a staff volunteered to call my next destination's hotel for a pick-up service at the bus station. I arrived at the bus station, a driver with a sign of my name and my hotel was waiting for me. I was already in his tuk-tuk when he informed me he is not working for the hotel and I had to pay for it. If only I had known better, I should have called my hotel directly and availed of their free pick-up service.

Very basic hotel but clean and generally comfortable. Just a step up from dorm rooms, private room, bathroom. Good location, very short trip from bus station and they send drivers to meet the buses which is good The staff are what makes this hotel, they were so friendly and helpful, would stay again

Extremely friendly and helpful manager. We were amazed when they sent a tuk tuk to meet us from the boat although we hadn't even told them how we were arriving. The room was simple but very clean and the hotel was very well organised. There was excellent coffee, good bread and even lovely muesli for breakfast which you ate in a relaxed roof- top cafe. We had a very pleasant stay.

very good all round except for WiFi had lots of problems with it bombing out..staff pleasant and arranged tuk tuk .fantastic informative driver named Dom.only ate breakfast in restaurant may have had more but found it too hot.would definitely use the hotel again.Very good price.

First impression was I was put under a lot of pressure to accept a ride from the bus to the hotel even though I explained to the guy I didnt want one. I was going to meet up with friends first and the guy was telling me I was going to get him in trouble if I didnt take it, The royal is a 3min walk from the Capital Bus stop. The rooms had no free drinking water and we weren't told if you want your room cleaned you must put a tag on your door. So our room never got cleaned. This is not common practice in Cambo.
